The corniche in Doha is frankly speaking an eight lane highway which connects the skyscrapers of West Bay with Old Doha and the port, Museum of Islamic Art and the Emiri Diwan. Along it there is plenty of parking and seating with very few cafes and the occasional outdoor work out area. Mostly of the year it is devoid of... More

A beautiful place to spend your time in the early mornings or late evenings. The place is usually filled with families out for a walk. There are good spots in between to rest and take in the views.

I was struck by its beauty but before all by the safety of the place (and of Doha in general). I could safely walk here at night as well. Some young local men enjoyed playing music and singing. The weather is great most of the year...

It was wonderful. I always liked the sea, but there was more than the sea. Everything about this place was good. The malls, the shopping outlets, the promenades, the greenery around. Even the people were good. Some were just walking or jogging, but they blended with the surroundings. I was planning to spend less than 30 minutes, but I stayed... More

The best time to stroll along Corniche would be in the morning before summer descends in Qatar. In the morning, you will tend to see the color of the sea changing from blue to green and back to blue due to the rising sun. Another best time to visit Corniche is from November to February. In the evening, it is... More

Many of the gulf states have similar corniches and this one is typical of those say in Kuwait or Jeddah. Long, Pedestrian, full of walkers, runners, kids, families, singles out people watching etc. At the North end sits a Costa Coffee, so if you need refreshment, plan to start at the Museum of Islamic Art and walk up to Costa...
