A very informative display and depiction of islamic architecture and how it relates to current building design in Qatar. It gave me an understanding of how ancient islamic buildings were able to use water and air for cooling and how modern architecture in Doha has also used these concepts.

The location is easy to visit. the Whole building is on one small building on the sea. The surrounding is pleasant to take a walk in the evening. The theme of the museum is "no past, no future".Therefore, lots of old photos are displayed in the museum. There are also some model of the future plan in the city. It's... More

I have always been an ardent fan of historical stories. After walking around a bit in the raging sun, the calm atmosphere of Msheireb Enrichment Centre was a welcome relief. I was the only one in the centre, and so had a lot of time to read each and every word on the exhibits. The centre is laid out so... More

This overwater museum is located on the Corniche next to the Ex Sheraton Hotel. Entrance is free but it is not obvious for everyone that it can be visited. You need maximum half an hour to visit it, but you go out with a better understanding of the Doha of the past, present and future. It displays the mockup of... More

Doha is a city that is changing rapidly and the Msheireb Enrichment provides some fascinating exhibits that showcase Doha's past. It also explains the architectural concepts that are being used at the new Downtown Doha and how these draw upon the traditions of the past. The main downside of this facility is that it has fairly restricted opening hours.
