Visiting the desert is something that can change the way you perceive life. All that sand and all those dunes reaching as far as your eyes can see will certainly make you feel small, insignificant and extremely vunerable! The inland sea is just beautiful. There's a spot that you can see the Saudi Arabia Mountains and it's simply amazing! Do... More

We were a group of 3 who really enjoyed the adrenaline inducing roller coaster ride through the sand dunes. We started our excursion with a short and sedate camel ride which lulled us into a false sense of what was to come.... The pace quickly skipped a beat after jumping into the 4 x 4 with our very experienced driver... More

We visited the inland sea as part of our Arabian Adventures tour. The set up with the tour company meant that we were well accommodated and enjoyed the visit. The sea is lovely for views over the bay and a nice swim! Worth visiting as part of a desert tour!

A definite place to visit. The contrast between the dunes and the blue water is remarkable. Great place to spend a weekend on th dunes in traditional tents and pure Arab hospitality. There's two ways to reach here, over the dunes and one by passing the dunes but still worth the drive reachable only by a 4X4. The former is... More

Mid week adventure with Al Khor kayaking and trips well organised and the water cold on a hot day. Well worth the 2.5 hour drive from Al Khor. Blue sea lots of sand dunes and a look over to a barren Saudi.

Myself and my friend visited here and went with Inbound Tours. We were picked up from our apartment and dropped back to the door - our driver was fantastic, friendly and polite. We had a quick camel ride and Arabic tea and then went dune bashing! It was amazing but not for the faint hearted - at times there are... More

I will call it 'Golden Sand Beach Picnic Spot' which can be accessed in 50-60 minutes through Mesaieed Road from Doha and to go off the metaled road, you will essentially need 4x4 Jeep. All along the shore, loose sand desert is prominent with negotiable dunes. While on the wheels, you will see Qatar energy exploration sites being the main... More

This place is well worth going to as it is the border of Saudi Arabia and the Sand dunes meet the sea. The scenes are picturesque and watching the sunset is amazing. The camp is not very nice compared to safaris in Dubai but the dunes are certainly high.

The trip going here was a bit uneventful: we spent around 1 hour and 30 minutes during our road-trip. Granted, it was a spontaneous decision, so we didn't bring anything with us. We just came here for the view. You can ride a camel for 20 QR, but, if you speak Arabic, you can get a discounted rate. :) We... More
