This is a great place to go for a feel of Kuwait the way many less affluent people live their daily lives. There is no pressure to buy things here and foreigners are not harassed as they are in many local markets. The sights and sounds and people are authentic and the kids are out playing until the wee hours... More

Get a taste of the "real middle east" - It is such a cliche but it is true! This is where the people come to by things from food to cloth and everything in between! I also had a nice very cheep lunch here and it was as authentic as it could be but still safe (hygienic). I hate words... More

IT's basically like a local cultural market that's been there for years. The cool thing is that you will find almost all traditional works and crafts and even local traditional and trendy clothes there on offer - interesting varieties. You'll need to haggle though and expect to navigate crowds of people

If you're visiting GCC countries, this is a place you should see. In Kuwait, there is not so many exciting places to go to, so if you're visiting you should come and see the Souq Al Mubarakiya. The feel is very traditional and you can find a very wide spectrum of goods to bargain for:-). Unfortunately, we came a little... More

With a lovely coffee shop and less hawkers than the Friday market, the Old Souq is a great place to shop for carpets ... everything from Iraq, Afghan and Turkish carpets, good quality and prices.

This place is a market where you can get old stuff, cheap souvenirs, local food or just walk around and look at the culture. Here they also sell vegetable, fruits and meat. The whole place is airconditoned.
