After the mall culture that has come very fast Bahrain souq is the best place to go back to history. Here you can purchase anything right from clothes, electronics, grocery items, gold and so on and all at a good price.Be prepared to bargain and you will get good value for your money. You will find mosque, temple and church(very near to souk) located in... More

This place is so much fun to go to. From the guys wanting to wash your car when you park to the great food. Spice alley is a sensory overload and a lot of fun to walk through. At the Gold Souk you can find any jewel you are looking for and have any piece of jewelry custom made for... More

As one passes through the arches of Bab al-Bahrain entrance, many choose to take the road into the suq leading straight inside. Soon the modern construction of traditional shops gives way to the real feel of traditional suq. Exploring further deep, a persistent visitor will experience the spice market and gold market. The old quarter is of course to the... More

As I always say old shops are always the best to discover a country . I like it more before renovating , but still it's a beautiful place . Some alleys are narrow , absolutely it's better to park your car away or in the parking areas . In summer , it's better to go in the morning or at... More

This is one of the iconic tourist attractions in the island , has a renovated section from the historical souq and you can get to shop for some authentic Bahraini products such as the halwa (sweets) and snacks, the Bahraini spices and you can also sample some Bahraini cuisine. There are also the famous pearl traders and the gold shops.

We went to the Souk and loved it. I got many traditional outfits for my daughters from different locales. I am a terrible at bartering but my husband loves it. He absolutely thrived. While he was busy bartering, I started drifting down the street and one of the locals who was escorting us anxiously caught up to me and stressed... More

I have been to this souk many times. To say the trouth it is not like what it was 10 years ago, i mean before it was much better, it was reflecting the real bahrain. Now it is a copy of other souks. I think the iranian souk in Essa town is better.

Lovely traditional shopping place where you can get all what you need with lower prices. As a recommendation, don't miss the traditional coffee shops which serves traditional amazing breakfast. Also, ask about "Nakhi Basheer" one of the most traditional restaurants which serves traditional spicy snacks. Worth to visit.

It was great experience to Visit, it's a nice shopping outdoor centre with classic shops and items. The only things need to be there is some cold air.

Nice and quite large souk to visit in the evening, but parking is a challenge. Great to walk around and see all these colourful souvenir shops where obviously you need to negotiate if you don't want to be overcharged. Few nice cafes and snacks for a casual meal break. It is missing a museum in the vicinity as it is... More
