This is a great indoor water park with lots of exciting rides for those who seek thrills. It is also compact enough for parents to be able to keep a careful eye on their kids without losing them!

I enjoyed the Souk. Though there were people there that you knew was interested in separating you from your money, I generally enjoyed all of the items that were available. Be aware that there are no prices on anything, so do your homework and know what an item is worth before going. The items are worth exactly what you are... More

Do you like to buy fake watches and cheaply made, over priced junk? Well come to the Manama Souk where you will find stall after stall of it. However, ff you want a real Souk experience, go someplace else...this is waste of your valuable time.

Anyone visiting Bahrain knows this is your first stop. A lot has changed since the last time I saw Bab-Al, but it's still as magnetizing. The souk remains and is still the busiest, but take precautions because the locals could be both friendly or just plain rude. Visit the gold souk. Omg! the golds are just hanging all around the... The old market is one of the best attractions in the island. I personally enjoy the walk in the small roads and see the small shops and having a cup of tea in one of the small coffee shop. I highly recommend the walk there, you’ll find everything from local sweets to jewelry. Don’t miss it

We first visited the Souk 44 years ago when I was staioned in Bahrain as a USN officer. The Souk has lost some of it's charm but was still fun exploring it

If you are traveling from western countries or are hunting for Bahrain's souvenirs this is the place to look for. All main shopping malls are mainly full of western brands but this market has the rest. The man building, just behind the 'Bab Ul Bahrain' has few shops but the actual markets lies behind this modern building. You need a... More

Joy of the Middle East, the kind Noonoo money changer, Holy "beggars" respected for their wisdom that comes with age. Gold souk, silk souk, the "everything cold stores"...and the spices!

Great for people watching, it is easy to get lost wandering the streets around the souq where you can find a wide variety of shops, cafes, etc. all with a local flair. If you want to buy something, be prepared to barter.

Bab Al Bahrain means Gateway of Bahrain in Arabic. It is a historical building built in 1945. It is not just a simple Gate but the main entrance of Old Manama City and its Old Souq. (An open-air marketplace is called Souq in Arabic). ** The BEST TIME of visit is at the end of afternoon but before evening. Because... More
