A traditional Arabian souq, with little shops selling spices, traditional Arabic & imported clothes, lots of textiles, toys & much more..The tailoring shops do good quick tailoring, and it's fairly inexpensive. There are also reasonable places for fresh juice, shawarma & sweets- both Indian & Arabic. You'll find an abundance of souvenirs, perfumes,crafts & carpets too. Bargaining is common here..... More

This place a true adventure in cultural. From the Gold Suq to the many tailors shops to restaurants and shops scattered through this dynamic are a must experience for any traveler. When you shop, eat or,explore in this Suq. Be prepared to get list for hours.

You cannot come to Bahrain without visiting Bab Al Bahrain. Negotiate, Negotiate and then some more. Plenty of shops that are selling similar items so better buy in bulk from one place and negotiate a price after the seller gives you his total. It can get super packed so be prepared.

Some of the old shops have been demolished and a modern shopping complex built in its place. But the architecture is in the old style and very beautifully done. So many shops it's like a rabbit warren you must haggle with the shop owners they love so many fakes to buy this is a must

You could spend lots of time here. There are lots and lot of little shops that are happy to bargain for your business and sell you things that you may or may not need! A real experience.

If you want to see it all, you can spend half day there. Don't get lost I'm the streets, found some very nice handmade local clothes further down opposit two mosques.
