It is the Heart💓of Bahrain! It is the place for for all... as of my knowledge it is also as the Souq. I like this place... because it is a bit familiar...it takes us back to old days of India! And of course it is a place full of Gold and spices!! I like Manama Souq!! 👌👌

Traditional market, Handicrafts, Artifacts, etc. Good for low end shopping. A must see place for Bahrain's tradition.

I expected to find it a bit more touristy, but i suppose that compared to Istanbul it has a different purpose and caters for the locals. I love buying souvenirs, but over there I was not spoilt for choice.

you can buy anything here - street and lanes of spices, bags, electrics and of course mobile phones and fake watches. The main thing is that it is a barter area so simply barter ! but quality is not always there...some electric good are the real deal... and some clothes are good - you can also get quaint knock offs... I was expecting a traditional market that I can find some items related to the country's culture. Only mobiles shops and Indian items. Nothing related to Bahrain's culture But nice to pass on good weather only

this is truly an amazing place to visit for a traveler, even though you would mostly encounter expats there, but you will see some locals wearing the traditional Bahraini thob and ghitra. It is a place where most business owners in Bahrain started, and the astonishing thing is, they still have Pride about starting in this place.. Many business who... More

This souq sells more junk than they do souvenirs; junk as in just cheap clothes, toys and kitchen utilities sort. Not many stores that sold proper souvenir stores that tourist would enjoy.

Bab albahrain , which means "The gate or door of Bahrain" is a very nice place for shopping, eating national food, indian food and even pakistani and iranian food . It is very good for cheap shopping or just walking around on foot and discovering the place and the "hidden temple" !

Worth an hour or two to wander through the maze of colorful offerings. Tourist trash, copy handbags and perfume but also lots of niknaks, fabrics, spices, electrical goods. A not-too-forceful throng of vendors here and many tailors (if you're looking to copy that fave suit or LBD). We found a guy who made suits for Jetmain Jackson - with photos... More
