It is a fantastic place and site to visit. V well maintained, it has multiple layers of civilization to be explored. The café by the waterfront was shut down when we were there, but the location looked amazing. The place also has the tag of being a UNESCO heritage sight and rightly so. The fort really changes its personality at... More

We entered throught the museum which cost 1 BD (approx $2.50) for two people. Well displayed & very informative. Had a cool beverage in the on-site cafe before investigating the fort. A truely memorable experience!

Start with the museum and then tour the site. Centuries of history have been preserved and reconstructed. We had a guide but I also saw the audio tour; I suggest you do one or the other.

I ranked this by attractions in Bahrain standards. So far, it's the best attraction I've visited in Bahrain. However, there is little to choose from. There is a museum at the fort that I recommend visiting because otherwise, the fort is completely unexplained. You can wander through it without any signs or history. It makes for a couple cool photos... More

Although the directions on the road are not very clear, we found the fort using GPS. It is attached with a museum - it's timings are 9am-8pm. The fort access is only until 7:30pm. It's a good site for photographs & the gulf breeze is very strong around it. People often come to walk around the fort in the evenings.... More

The fort is still maintained properly with a good historical explanation in the Fort Museum located nearby. Visitor to come first to the museum to park the car and short walk to the site. A quite impressive fort and we can explain the children about Bahrain history. There is no fee to enter the Bahrain Fort and other archeological sites,... More

There are not a vast number of tourist attractions around Bahrain, which makes this one certainly worth a visit. The location is very interesting as you are by the sea, looking over ruins towards the skyscrapers of Seef and Manama. If the weather is not too hot, then it makes for a very enjoyable walk exploring the ruins; we had... More

The Bahrain Fort is a short walk from the Seef District and the Ritz Carlton Hotel. There is a fort museum on site and you can freely walk around the fort. It is well worth a visit.

I am interested in history and this visit to the renovated bahrain fort was worthwhile. Fortunately I had read up a a bit before as there seemed little information at he site although I did see some headphone guide signs. Didn't seem to be operating. The views from the fort were impressive and one could see that much care had... More
