We visited Al Dar in November 2014. We booked the Pearl diving excursion for our family, 3 adults and two children (ages 8 and 10). It was amazing!!! The diving was harder than I expected but our guide, Mohammad, helped us with patience and kindness. He was particularly patient with our youngest child who found the diving a little scary.... More

Beautiful weekend getaway! A very serene atmosphere with clean sandy beaches and chalets just a foot away from the sea. Went with family for the weekend. Service is very good. The food is good as well, with the breakfast buffet being very good. The staff area always available on call and are quite accomodating! I would suggest including more arabic... More

As British ex-pats, we've been going to the lovely Al Dar island about four times a year, for the last four years, always taking visiting family / friends as a treat and have watched and experienced the island develop more recently. It's previously been an absolute fail-safe place to please everyone and we've always all relaxed and had a genuinely... More

The island itself is a 5-10 minute boat ride from the Sitra port. On arriving we are met with staff who's English is not great. We check in and then, despite being advertised differently we have to walk the length of the island with a baby, pram, cooler and 2 bags. The staff member showing us took 1 bag and... More

Of all the beaches i explored on my bahrain trip. Al dar had been the best. You can book your private chalet if dont want to be surrounded by too many young brats. Its noce calm and beautiful places with jet skiying and kayaking facilities. I would recommend to everyone 👍

I was expecting a better beach and more clean island. full of rocks and grass however still acceptable compared to most of beaches in Bahrain. during month of Ramadan you not allowed to drink or eat and the restaurant is closed till sunset.
