Coming from Northern Europe I have been raised in a culture where nature is highly respected, and animals treated in a humane ways. The first sight of Al Areen was a positive, it seemed to be well kept and animals having a lot of room to move. At the second sight came the litter, everywhere! When visitors finished their eating,... More

One of the best attractions for children and adults alike in bahrain. It houses a variety of birds, (real boon for bird lovers) and also a host of wild sheep, ostrich etc, but the best part of the whole wild life sanctuary is the up close feeling you get when facing the wild cats( tiger, leopard) inside the air conditioned... For 1BD, you got a bus trip by a number of very interesting animals. I had no idea there were so many types of gazelle on the Arabian Peninsula. They had a lovely herd of oryx and a number of other, beautiful animals. You had the opportunity to walk amongst a large flock of flamingos and other interesting birds. Having... More

We had pl anned a day taking in the Wildlife Sanctuary and the Waterpark which is next to it. Thought we would try the Sanctuary first, and then the rest of the day at the Waterpark. Mistake. For the entry fee of 1 BD (about 1 pound 60 p) The Wildlife Sanctury must be the best value attraction we have... More

Really enjoyed the visit. There is an initial zoo-type walk around area and then there is a bus ride that takes you through the larger part of the park. Very well maintained facilities. Will definitely go back. Easy to get there with ample parking. 1 BD admission.

Al Areen wild life park is beautifully developed and very well maintained zoo. The greenery and bird park is spectacular. Its really surprising change in the sandy Bahrain. The entrance fee is negligible which includes the bus trip to wild life reserve. Overall a very very nice and must go place in Bahrain.

When you want to see something different than sand, sand, sand then Al-Areen Wildlife Park and Reserve (Al-Areen Wildlife Sanctuary is no longer the name of the park!!!) is a very nice change of scenery. The Park is located in the western part of Bahrain at about a 40 minutes drive from Manama (you can combine it with a visit... More

its more of a zoo than a wildlife sanctuary, but it is pretty nice. They have animals from around the world with a focus on birdlife, and wildlife from the arab world
