We went to the tourist beach as a part of our "Jordan" tour. We were unaware of the cost which is obviously quite high but we rated this as a highlight of our tour. I took a taxi from Amman and the driver took me to this beach. Paid the 10JD and went to change. Was expecting for this price to be able to use a locker, but although there was a wall of falling apart lockers none of them had doors with locks, so no use. It was not very nice walking down... more

Amman beach is actually located about 50 mins drive from Amman. It's a recreation area at the Dead Sea shores that offers a mediocre restaurant, a couple of sweet water pools, showers (essential after a dip in the Dead Sea) and some run-down beach chairs and tables.
