The Citadel is the major attraction in Amman, its located on (Jabal al-Qal'a) and is the site of the earliest fortifications known in the world. Make sure to go to the citadel at sunset. It gives you very nice views of the city and its sunset. Around the same time you'll hear several muezzin calls at the same time echoing around the city. As we came after closure time, at least the ticket booth was closed, we were stopped by some guys telling us to... more

Getting in one last stop before out departure, our guide took us to the Citadel perched on one of the many hills of Amman.
