Quite a sight to behold at the very top of Mount Nebo. The ancient mosiacs are interesting enough, and information and history about the location is well positioned. There's a bit of restoration and renovation work going on at the moment, which means that not everything is open to visitors. More

A great place to view the Promised Land. There are mosaics on view from the 4th century that you can see. A church is currently under construction but nevertheless did not obstruct the view as much More

I'm a Brit and not moved by much, stiff upper lip don't ya know, but this place IS special! A small little trinket shop is there, but very much take it or leave it. Great views over to Israel/Palestine. Did Moses end his earth life there? Who knows, but it certainly 'feels' very special. The loos are clean and have... More

The views from the top are absolutely incredible. On a clear day, you can see the Jordan Green Valley, Jerusalem and Jericho. We had a tour guide that took us to the top and explained everything and took pictures for us. Well worth it. More

I recommend visiting Mount Nebo to visit the very spot where Moses stood as he viewed the Promised land. There is a lot of information about archeology in the area, in the museum located there. There are mosaics on view from the 4th century, but as they doing construction, not all are on view at the moment. I seriously recommend... More

This place holds the memorial of Moses and has a small mueseum. They are restoring the bascillica as well. Its got a fantastic view of the Jordan valley and one can see the start of the dead sea. One can also see the mountains of Jerusalem. More

Standing on Mt. Nebo where Moses once stood to see the Promised Land across the Jordan is quite an experience. It is a meditative moment. More

From reviews and books etc I was looking forward to this attraction where Moses supposedly looked oiut on the promised land before he died. Regrettably most of the site was under constriction, repair when we visited, and not accessable to visitors, so what we saw of the building and the mosaics was next to nothing. Yes the view over the... More

This is where they say Moses was given a view of the Promised Land, and so can you, on a clear day..however the heat and haze do not really let you do that, the board at the summit gives you a little map, but it's difficult to see, really! Wear your walking shoes and ensure that dust not get in,... More

The site was undergoing construction so we were prevented from seeing the main attraction which is a lovely mosaic. The site has been beautifully renovated and there is a lovely view over the Dead Sea towards Jericho and Isreal. More
