"Sweetheart" in the most deep sense of the word. Well, you'd better be acquainted with his books to fully grasp the essence of Nachum Gutman. Yet, just looking carefully at his works, especially the watercolor ones (to my taste) - and enjoy his naivety yet wise way of expressing the early days of Tel-Aviv. The Nachum Gutman museum is located in a beautifull renovated building in charming Neve Zedek. Gutman lived in Tel Aviv from it's begining, before WW1, and his work is a charming, naive, documentary of those times. The small but charming Gutman museum does justice to Gutman the man and Gutman the painter, writer and sculpture.

I loved Gutman's whimsical art and spent twice as much time here as I had planned.....and then walking around Neve Tzedek was delightful, too!!

if you want to taste the artistic tel aviv through the eyes of nachum gutman, a local semi realistic artist - this is the place. In my opinion it's a great location for students, not as much for tourists. much more interesting, in my opinin to walk through the city and take it in on a live basis

if you are in Neve Tzedek, you should visit this small, lovely museum. it gives the filling of how tel aviv used to be, and currently carries a wonderful interactive exhibition for children

Nice setting and a good feel for the history of Tel Aviv. I was there with a group and the added value of the tour guide in narrating the history of the city of Tel Aviv gave context to the visit,
