Our hotel was a couple of blocks away on Rothchild so we walked the street one late afternoon after touring. Street filled with inexpensive clothing and jewelry stores. Area also saturated with small appliance stores catering to expats and lots of little supermarkets and coffee stops. If you are not walking distance from here just skip this street.

A place to look for street fashions and more. Just off Allenby across from the Carmel Market, Sheinkin offers another shopping experience.I for one enjoyed the area coffee places, small cafés. One sign said homemade hummus. That's for me! Enjoyed a simple lunch Israeli salad, hummus and falafel, lemonade with mint fresh tasty and very reasonable. Favorite shop, Made in Israel at... More

In my two trips to Shenkin Street, I have to say the walk down Allenby to get to it was the highlight. Like many reviewers, the biggest let down of Shenkin was the mass amount of chain stores on that strip of road. I walked through Tel Aviv in Steve Maddens, yes, but as a shopping tourist, I want something... More

This is an OK area of the city (of course it's nicer than neighbouring Hamelech George and Allenby which are straightforward ugly), but nothing much to see here when the shops are closed at night.

People say: you must go to Shenkin. Having been 2 or 3 times, I say: why? Perhaps Shenkin is for Gen Y but to my mind, it offers little for Baby Boomers. Shenkin is a street comprising clothing stores of all types, food stores, cafes, money changers, music stores and more. Yes it is lively, yes it is reasonably busy,... More

Sheinkin Street used to be THE cool and hip street in Tel Aviv; if Dizengoff was the grande dame of shopping, Sheinkin was its hipster daughter. Well, Dizengoff has lost some its luster and Sheinkin has grown up a bit into a more establishment, less out-there shopping street with some boutiques but too many chain stores with merchandise you can... It used to be the center of hip Tel-Aviv. Unfortunately it is that no more. During my last visit all I saw was a dirty sidewalk, some interesting but quite expensive shops and nothing more. The only bright side is "Orna & Ella's" restaurant which did not lose its charm and good food. If you happen to visit the street... More

The shops are very quaint and are geared mostly for the younger generation. Still an interesting place to visit.

There are some nice little restaurants, designer clothing shops, and jewelry frequented by a young crowd. A busy, "artsy" street with a lot to see - good window-shopping, not far from the gentrified Rothschild Blvd.
