Old Jaffa was a short walk from my hotel, David Intercontinental, along a beautiful pedestrian promenade along the beach. The town was exactly what you would picture an old port town to look like, lighthouse included. The historic area has been restored. My hotel manager recommended a walk up the beach to Jaffa for a day out, and he was right - it was perfect. I followed the coastline to the hilly base of Jaffa, and then wandered up the cobbled steps and streets to explore.
