as a chareidi jewish girl from the belz communitiy i have been there several times (from london) i could never get enough of it when one hears the rabbi praying my whole body is tansfused.... the reason y they dont appreciate tourists is simple it is a bulding with beuty and everybody would love to say they have been there...

The building is absolutely stunning. It costed 55 million dollars- but the Hasidism don't appreciate tourist, specifically groups. They won't hurt anyone, but they will ask you to leave, specifically women. Also, the main sanctuary is closed during the week, and open only for prayers on Shabbat.
