Been @ the old Yad Vashem for a couple of times more than 10 years ago and from Schindler's List movie, we thought that we've seen all. Our visit on 16 June 09 opened our eyes and hearts. We walked with the museum's public guided tour (Daily @ 11am for 30NIS) for 2+hours and the experience was intense and helps... more

Shalom! I had the priviledge to visit the Yad Vashem in Nov 2008. I spent some of the most poignant moments of my life there. I had read a great deal about the Holocaust and felt both fortunate and humbled to visit the Yad Vashem. I spent three hours within the premises, but I cannot express in words the pain... more

This is a must see in Jerusalem. Along with the Old City, it helps the visitor understand what Israel is all about. Unlike other Holocaust museums, this one is designed with hope in mind. The visitor leaves grieving and nostalgic for more innocence but invigorated and hopeful for the future. No one should visit Israel without touring this museum. more

Yad Vashem, the holocaust museum in Jerusalem is a very accurate depiction of what happened in the holocaust during WW2. They have an actual train used to transport Jews to the camps, prison clothes and other memoraphilia. There is a building with information of all the holocaust victims' personal information. Lots of film clips, articles and other things from that... more

Yad Vashem encompasses much more than just one building. The outdoor exhibits themselves are incredibly moving and meaningful and are best seen with a guide to explain each of them. The children's memorial, the memorial building with the flame and the main museum building are all part of the whole experience. You need at least half a day here to... more

This is a very emotional attraction. You will want to walk it at your own speed, don't worry about keeping up with the group. I walked it alone, and it was so much to take in over one day. Good news: when you get through the whole thing there is a little cafe that serves the BEST chocolate croissants i... more

A unique museum which tells the chilling tale of the Holocaust incredibly well. The intricate architecture of the buildings coupled with fascinating displays provides for a factual, interesting, and thought-provoking visit. The museum is a unique experience, the largest Holocaust memorial in the world, and Israel's main Holocuast memorial, as well as a centre for world genocide studies and action.... more
