From this vantage point you can see most of the old city and much of Jerusalem, and with proper guiding this is the spot to spend at least 30 minutes and get a short but informative history lesson spanning 3000 years or so ( from the time Kind David captured the city ) to the present while actually looking at... We went to this area on one of the worst weather days in Jerusalem - heavy rain and winds. However, we had heard and read so much about the area. The views are amazing. We tried to get into the Church of Ascension but no one would open the door. When a tour group came in, a person came out... More

The emotions just being at this biblical site are overwhelming if you are a practising Christian. But there are also fantastic views of Jerusalem.

Such an amazing place to be. Have always imagined being here, and inhaling the key historical landmarks, as well as taking to reflect, meditate, and absorb the views. Amazing panoramic views. Must do.

Great view of the Old City, but sadly very crowded, it was hard to feel any reverence of any kind with all the talking and crowds of people.

If you are familiar with the story of Jesus then you will know just how significant this place is. So you can only image the awe I felt setting foot on this place. It's absolutely beautiful if you have the right vantage point so make sure you bring your cameras! The road can get quite busy so be careful as... More

We were really lucky to have a great tour company: Bein Harim tours, we stopped off here and got amazing views of old and new Jerusalem. Hyah our guide was able to secure us a great view and told us some key historical points, after which we were given time to take some great pictures: theres a wall with wealthy... More

The Mt of Olives is awesome, and a quick stroll down the mountain will bring you to the cemetery, Garden of Gethsemane, and tomb of Mary Magdalene.

This is an arab section of east jerusalem overlooking the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque from across the valley, as well as David's Citadel and, closer by, the oldest Jewish cemetary in Jerusalem and the Church of All Nations. The historic value is partly based on the garden of Gethsemene, where Jesus spent time with his disciples... More
