Prime Minister Menachem Begin was a true leader and one of the founding fathers of the State of Israel. A guided tour through this museum will infuse the visitor with the essence of the passion that created the State and the incredible modesty and selflessness of its leaders. Beautiful museum just outside the Old City... worth including on your trip!

I would not recommend t his museum for young children If one is to understand the war of independence and the foundation of Israel as a state this is the museum to visit. Begin was involved from the very beginning: from the Irgun and bombimg of the Kung David .?.Such a charasimatic leader! Truly European, but understanding of all immigrants... More

This museum provides an excellent portrayal of Menachem Begin's life and the history of the State of Israel. You are required to take a guided tour and you must have reservations in advance. Using the website made it very easy to secure advance tickets for a tour in English. Our guide spoke English perfectly and was very informative. The tour... More

Come visit this museum, learn about one of Israel's great leaders; saw, heard and learned about someone I had not fully appreciated previously. Well done museum and tour. Visiting requires a reservation which was not so easy to get. Diligence and persistence required to get a reservation in advance, once there they were more than accommodating, inviting us to join... It is the story of Menachem Begin seen thru films etc.It is good combination of films, readings and exhibits. Though I greatly respect Begin you have to relsie that the museum is one sided--- from Begins perspective. I particularly liked to see how modestly he lived. His original furnuture is in the museum and you can sit on it- not... More

The Begin Center is worth a trip if your knowledge of Menachem Begin and the Irgun Zvai Leumi is limited to brief, often unfavorable mentions in books. You learn a lot, although I found the sound level little too loud and intrusive. One of the more-interesting exhibits was a recreation of part of Begin's nearly austere apartment. Whatever one thinks... More

A visit to this museum gives a different perspective to modern Israeli history from the perspective of a man who broke the Labor monopoly on power and saved Israel from a civil war while it was fighting the war of Independence. It's a very carefully programmed visit to the museum part, so you won't be able to see everything on... More

A touching place which tells the story of Israel sixth prime minister from boyhood till the end of his life. You can be either right wing or left wing and still be touched by a humble and modest man, a leader that only his people's interest stands in front of him. The story is presented through movies describing important stages... More

The museum at the Menachem Begin Centre does a brilliant job of telling the life story of one of Israel's most significant leaders using a mixture of modern technology and archive material .This is a definite must do for anyone interested in Israel's history. The museum is housed in a lovely building set into a hillside. The view from the... More

The Begin Museum, located walking distance from the Inbal, King David, and other motels, chronicles the life of former prime Minister begin- from his Eastern European childhood through his time as prime minister. The pictures, videos, and items from his life pain a vivid picture of this icon's life. It very much reminded me of the Ronald Reagan Library in... More
