Amazing place

This is an absolute must see when in Haifa. The garden view from the top is amazing, the gardens are a piece of art and Haifa unfolds at your feet.

Everyone associates Israel with Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, but it’s also the holiest place on earth for the Baha’i faith. That was started by a Persian (known as “the Bab”) in the 1800s who dreamed up sort of a Middle Eastern version of Unitarianism (“All the monotheisms are right!”). Baha’is excel at building religious monuments. Their US temple in Wilmette... More

Set down the side of a very steep hill this highly manicured artifice attracts lots of tourists, some no doubt for religious reasons but most probably because there is nothing much else to see or do in Haifa. It's very beautiful but it is so contrived and incapable of interaction that there is not much else to do but gawk... More

The gardens were constructed for all to enjoy-as with any Baha'i facility there are no fees or admission charges. The history as to how and why these properties were acquired is nothing short of a miracle. The prophet founder, Baha'u'llah, envisioned a world without war or strife-all are invited and welcomed here. Peace be with you.

The gardens are immaculate and clearly tendered with loving care. The guide provided an interesting insight into the beliefs of the faith which has its headquarters in Haifa. The trip involves a steep climb down stairs but should not present any problems to an able bodied person but would not be accessible to a person with a disability. Overall, this... More

The gardens are quite lovely if you like that sort of thing but they seemed somehow too big, too perfect, not that that's a bad thing, it was just my personal impression. I'm more a "Secret Garden" type I suppose. If you like grand, massive gardens, you will love this site.

The gardens are absolutely stunning. We saw them from the bottom and again from the top. Easy to access by local bus. There are English tours almost everyday at noon. We forewent the tour and headed to the Baha'i shrine instead (open from 9 am -12 pm). Definitely don't miss this if you're in Haifa
