Had the fortunate opportunity to not only view the gardens , but enter and tour them with one of only three guides who are permitted inside the gates. An incredible experience to walk down the multitude of steps to the Golden Dome.

This November I visited Haifa intent on seeing the Bahai Gardens I have been to Israel many times but for some reason had not been to Haifa in over 20 years! When I got to Haifa I asked myself why I had taken so long to get back. The city had grown so much! I was impressed. But, the Bahai... More

Historically and architecturally a special and chosen spot on earth. Bahaullah, a Persian nobleman, was brought here in 1868 as a prisoner and exile, banished from his homelands by the two most powerful rulers of his time: the Shah of Persia and the Sultan of the Ottoman empire. His son, Abdul Baha, interred here in the beautiful shrine, saved the... More

...But not only that! Apart from the magnificent view of Haifa, the gardens are equally beautiful themselves! Everything is created in symmetry! Definitely a must see if in Haifa.

Some family member's feared our being in Israel. When we arrived my wife was surprised by the lush greenery of this UNESCO World Heritage site. When we Smartphoned images home, people were COMPLETELY surprised. This is a beautiful site by day or night, serene and beautiful, the Queen of Carmel. Be sure to check on the days and hours if... The gardens are of course very special and beautiful. The problem is the tour. There were a lot of people, tension was high at the gate (people pushing, arguments, etc.). The guides are kind and knowledgeable but rush through, not easy and could be also physically challenging (hundreds of stairs downhill). Go once, and that's it.

Simply wonderful. Beutifully landscaped gardens, magnificent buildings, history and religion "under one roof". Both beautiful and educational. The Bahai's guides are wonderful. You must check tours timetable in advance, because you cannot enter unaccompanied by a guide.
