In December 2013 my wife and I travelled to Eilat with a group of Civil Service pensioners. We visited the Timna Park and heard about the bronze mining methods of over 7,000 years ago.We also saw Solomon's pillars and natural "sculptures".We felt the vastness of the Negev desert and the various settlements of 2000 years ago such as Mamshit .In Mamshit... Loved the clarity of the water, almost untouched since 10000 years ago when it was created! It was a bit chilly but since the temp was 104 it felt good!

The promenade along the marina and beach of Eilat has greatly changed since our visit last year. Last spring there were closed off portions that were under various construction. The market area had booths of varying size, shape and quality. It was frequently difficult to get around them. There was no place to stop and rest and just look at... More

Nothing special but meets all your needs with boat rental, fuel, food and shopping near by. It relative small compared to many city marinas but then Eilat is a relative new tourist city.

Get lost among the boats and visit a bar, a pizza place - or sit on the dwarf and loot at the sea - both worth doing. And have a Maccabee beer here and there - always pleasant in the usually warm climate.

A collection of dilapidated boats that seem more like shipwrecks than pleasure boats. Don't even bother, there is absolutely nothing there.

For a glimpse of a place that Israelis go on vacation, Eilat is hard to beat. Imagine Miami Beach compressed. The beach is great, the water warm, the crowds joyous without being irksome, the shops abundant, the food varied. We ate regional food, strolled from one end to the other both during the day and late in the evening, savoring... More

We had a fun day parasailing, water skiing, and tubing! The bay water was beautiful and the guys running the boats and rentals were laid back and fun. My fiancé took a 15 minutes water skiing lesson and got out of the water and ran for a few minutes her first run; the instructor was fantastic!
