Its lovely to walk around, like any other marina. Stunning in the evenings. Eilat is not big, so you will not miss it.

Eilat is an overpriced small town. There are no good jobs here and the only jobs avalaible are in hotels where they work you like a slave and treated like a dog. There are some restaurants, many souvenir and interesting stuff stands scattered there, better to go there in the evening, while the heat is less scorching.

Eilat's marina with docks accessible, shop around, atmosphere and excellent services are well suited to travelers, especially those with boats and yachts coming from all over the world.

I have been to Eilat numerous times and keep wondering why I go back to such a Las Vegasy-Disneylandish oven. Heat is oppressive and not much to see or do. BUT if you do go, it is the gateway to Petra, a wonder of the world, and the Timna National park. These two will salvage your trip.

We took "Captain Joe"s short cruise (as about 40 minutes). I liked the fresh windy weather and the scenery during the cruise. I would recommend a longer cruise if available.

If you want any sport water for beginners and for experienced visitors, Just go to the Marine and probably will find what you are looking for. If it's real hot day, than go there early in the morning or at the evening.

In December 2013 my wife and I travelled to Eilat with a group of Civil Service pensioners. We visited the Timna Park and heard about the bronze mining methods of over 7,000 years ago.We also saw Solomon's pillars and natural "sculptures".We felt the vastness of the Negev desert and the various settlements of 2000 years ago such as Mamshit .In Mamshit... Loved the clarity of the water, almost untouched since 10000 years ago when it was created! It was a bit chilly but since the temp was 104 it felt good!
