Dolphin Reef is easily reached from the Taba area of Egypt. Obviously you need to cross the boarder which is easily reached on foot from the Movenpick Taba and Hilton Taba hotels. For other hotels in the area you may need to take a taxi. Once you have crossed the boarder into Israel taxis are easily available when you have... more

While this is probably a good place if you want to swim with dolphins, we did not choose to do so and felt we really wasted a lot of money on the entrance fee here. There is little to do other than sit on the beach, (which you can do for free elsewhere in Eilat), or buy souvenir junk and... more

Absolutely gorgeous! Of course is possible to go there and not to see dolphins near by but this is because they are choosing and not you. Is a risk that worths to be taken. I was one of the luckiest from my group. Dolphins were coming and playing just like cats really close to me. I was not allowed to... more

The first time I took my granddaughter to Dolphin Reef she was only 12. Yes, she swam with the dolphins! She said it was the most exhilarating experience of her young life. Two years later, she repeated the swim and said the same thing. Both swims were in the winter, but the water seems to be a constant temperature. Early... more

We came with a 1.5-year-old, so we didn't expect to go diving, but we had a nice time on the beach and enjoyed watching the dolphins swim. Diving with dolphins is a touristy type of thing to do, so you should expect it to be a little gimicky and to have high prices, although to pay about $75 for an... more

Seeing the comments elsewhere on this site I am prepared to believe that things may be different in high Summer but our own experience of Dolphin Reef was simply excellent. We visited with friends in late December and had a wonderful time. Sitting on the pontoons and moving gently with the motion of the sea was delightful and relaxing in... more

I must say we were very disappointed with the Dolphin Reef, extremely touristy and overcrowded (visit was in July). Dolphins are kept in a netted area and have around 10 to 20 snorkellers and scuba divers in with them every hour which is in no way a natural environment for them. They cannot get out but can tantalisingly see the... more

It sounded great. A guaranteed chance to dive with 'wild' dolphins. Bring it on! Hmmmm, what a disappointment! I guess alarm bells should have been ringing with the fact it says 'guaranteed'. How can you 'guarantee' swimming with a wild animal? The centre was a tourist trap. The staff were rude and arrogant and the dolphins were about as free... more

Best experience ever! Diving is cheap considering the whole experience. You can go with an instructor, so you don't need a padi license. Seeing the dolphins swooshing past me, under me,over me, inc babies, was the best experience ever. Of course they dont have to come to you but you are bound to see some and may get them come... more

As a regular visitor to Eilat, we generally like to pay a visit to Dolphin reef with the kids. I particuarly like the fact that the dolphins can come and go as they please, and they obviously like the human contact and seem to enjoy performing to an audience too. The place has been enhanced with floating walkways, but the... more
