There were great facilities. Rangers who are watching the reserve to make sure visitors are not damaging the coral. Plenty of shelters for shade, clean changing rooms, Showers and bathrooms. We saw a whale shark! And the colorful coral was in good condition with lots of fish.

We were looking to do a bit of snorkling in Eilat. The beaches along the promenade did not have good snorkling so we took a bus to the Nature Reserve. They have a nice coral reef just offshore which can be reached by walking out on a dock. The water was clear and the coral formations and fish were plentiful....

There is usually a bit of southward going current so the best thing to is inter at the norther end and slowly drift south along the reef (water depth of about 3 meters). There are also rocky outcrops in water of 5-10 meters depth (Joshua and Moses rocks) but you need to ask a local where they are.

tip: the fee is quite hige. if you plan on visiting some more reserves in Eilat or around Israel, you should consider buying the yearly subscriber, specially if you travel with family. (2 adults and 3 children fee cost 126 Israeli shekels while the family subscribtion cost 426 Israeli shekels.

beautiful well kept easy diving nature reserve, excellent helpful staff, very well kept facility, plenty of room. Don;t need to bring anything, rent snorkel and masks, eat on premise on at surrounding restaurants and cafe's, one of the cheapest activities in town

many fish, big, small, many colours. big sand beach. live guards on duty. many protected coral. love it :) weather was good in march. no wetsuit needed. after 1 hour, u get little bit cold.

Beautiful, quiet beach with great snorkeling. They charge admission but then again the beach is a nature reserve and worth the money.
