The park was awesome ~ not a word I use freely. But that is applied to the excellent omni theatre film wityh moving seats and and the geological features and remains of Egyptian and Midionite mining. Avoid the restaurant in the lake area. Food and drink pretty mediocre More

We visited Eilat with our 5 month old this year so we couldn't do long walks in the desert, fortunately Timna caters to both experienced hikers and casual visitors alike. We had free entry as we stayed at the local Kibbutz Eilot which had a free Timna entry deal if you stayed more than 2 nights. Otherwise I think it... More

We booked the tour from the hotel, the Dan Panorama. We were really fortunate to have as a guide, Zion Cohen who was fluently bilingual, Hebrew/English. He was knowledgeable and entertaining and pointed out lizards, antelope as well as all the great rock formations. His truck has a water container for passengers. It is 4 hours well spent. More

Plenty to do in the park. You should allocate a half day. It is very hot during the summer so don't fotget the sun lotion, alternatively visit in the early morning or afternoon. On the entrance to the park you'll get information on the attractions and it should not be missed. More

About 30 min driving from Eilat you can find a real wonder in the middle of the desert. Great place for all, except people who have feet problems. If you want to see it all, you'll need about half day (with a car) and lot of water. More

This is one of those sites that has a lot to offer: history - salomons copper mines and egyptian temple, nature - the pillars and ease of access. If you are visiting many parks, consider buying a national park pass: http://www.parks.org.il/BuildaGate5/general2/data_card.php?Cat=~~~800557905~Card14~&ru=&SiteName=parks&Clt=&Bur=769270536 More

If you are in Eilat with children then this is one place you should visit. There is an interesting movie about the history of Timna, There are miles of grounds to walk around in with very nice views. A boat ride caps off a nice day for the family before heading to your next destination. More
