there are some places one HAS to visit, although it's getting overcrowded when cruiseships dock at Kusadasi. Start on the parking place on top of the hill, and discover the library as you slowly go down the hill. Take your time, it's worth wandering around.

Beautiful, level of detail is amazing. Crowded - even in down season, but for understandable reason.

The library was the best renovated building in Ephesus. The whole walk through the ruins was so interesting. Many many steps to climb and hills to walk up. Wear comfortable supportive shoes.

Outstanding archaeological item that exceeded expectations. Many visitors even in March, so tour early in the day.

This is located within Ephesus, but is the crowning jewel of the site. It has been reconstructed, but still looks amazing.

This is the location you always see on postcards, and there is good reason for it! As two library lovers, my friend and I were AMAZED at the Library of Celsius. Words really can't do justice to the huge scale and wonderful detail of the library. Besides having fun imagining 25,000 scrolls inside, we loved the astoundingly well-preserved exterior! It... More
