They have a beautiful exhibition on view of works from their permanent collection in the main halls. From what I've discussed with other friends, this has been on for quite a while. Some truly fantastic works on display by regional and local artists. The temporary magnum contact sheet exhibition was much more amazing than I had thought it would be.... More

Hard to find unless you spot their signs on the main Bosporus boulevard. The art is beautifully displayed by time periods. The waterside restaurant has outdoor tables, large interior with gourmet quality lunch choices.if coming by tram or on foot ,look for signage as the museum is hidden for now in a wharehouse district. The Bosporus views look toward the profile... More

Visited May 2015. Parking is available if you drive. The museum is located on the Bosphorus. A very nice selection of artworks including many Turkish artists. As the name implies, it is a very modern building housing the collection. The museum restaurant is very nice. Unless there is a cruise ship in port you have wonderful views of the Bosphorus... More

Fantastic place, you could easily spend 2 or 3 hours here. Go early (before 11) to avoid the school children. Can't recommend it enough.

The exhibitions will always change of course, but they curate their works quite well. Get inside and the building opens to the water. Now they're constructing even bigger buildings too.

I went to the place last week, and I was surprised of what I saw. Very beautiful art works, well organized, and you can enjoy the Turkish touch in modern arts. Also they are expanding the place....looking forward to see that.

The curation of the art pieces exhibited is great work and the location of the museum right along the Bosphorous River also gives visitors a great perspective of the Old City.

Some people really seem to swoon over this art gallery and there is every chance my own lack of knowledge about art is at play here but I didn't find much of particular interest here except for an extensive display of photography. The photography exhibits really brought out a lot of human drama from episodes in the cities history and... More
