Delighted with my kilim.

I recently received a large kilim which I bought from Hasan and Ugur through mutual friends. They went to great effort to find the right size, colour and style for me and I could... read more

I recently received a large kilim which I bought from Hasan and Ugur through mutual friends. They went to great effort to find the right size, colour and style for me and I could not be happier with the result. Thank you for your efforts Hasan and Ugur. To add to this it was very reasonably priced. I look forward... More

I would have bought everything in it. The owner differently from all the others, does T press you or insist on you to buy his things. Highly recommended!!!

I have been coming to Istanbul every year for the last 15 years and I can say that this is not just another carpet/things shop around Sultanahmet. Brothers running the bussiness speak good english and they have fair prices, especially if you don't want to fight for the price or are on the tight budget. I bought several carpets (and... More

Right near my hotel, this shop has interesting sidewalk exhibits that beckoned me to enter. I was in a rush to see the sights and missed this treat because I did not want to shop. For those who do, this place has a lot to offer. Wish I'd gone in!

It's a beautiful place next to Haghia Sofia where you can easily escape the crowd and do a nice shopping. With the help of Hasan I chose a beautiful carpet and some tiles to decorate my summer house. And after visiting many carpet shops I got the best price so far!! Since they are allbeautiful, it took me time to... More

not bad to roam inside this store if you have additional time but nothing very special about it and not necessarily the cheapest price on the items,

What an amazing experience to find this shop just along the street from our hotel. Hasan was the ultimate host, his shop full of exciting ceramics, rugs, handbags jewellery etc. We choose some lovely tiles and other goods then had them posted to Aus to save carrying them around Turkey and Israel. True to his word Hasan waited until a... More

I went to probably a dozen shops looking for kilims and no one could give me a better deal than Heritage. They have a better variety and good sized show room to display the rugs, and they did not pressure me to buy anything. Definitely recommend!

We discovered Ugur and his family business last time we went to Istanbul and he organsiaed for the large silk carpet we bought to be bought back to Australia. As it sat proudly in our home all our friends admired it and wanted one so they all came with us again to Istanbul and Ugur spent half a day with... More

He was so hospitable and showed me his one of the most beautiful kilim that I really like and I purchased it at very reasonable price First, I was very sensitive to the price I pay for my kilim but I understood that was very... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
