Yesterday I was at Khedive's Palace Restaurant at Kanlica (on the Asian side of Bosphorus) with 4 American guests and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals there, every one of us. The restaurant has both great indoor setting for colder days and a beautiful terrace that overlooks the woods and the Bosphorus. Very serene and relaxing place. However the menu was... More

Nice historical place with a great Bosphorus view and nice outdoor cafe with good food and kind staff. It's like a heaven in the summer.

Beautiful garden, beautiful little palace surrounded by marble terraces but I do not recommend to go to the weekend brunch! It's expensive compared to its quality. You can go just for a quick visit. However, there is one thing the cooks of Hidiv Kasri are excellent to prepare: cream puffs, or let's say profiterole with tahini (it is called "Hidiv'in... More

First location; I think it's quite difficult by public transportation. So you need to take a taxi from Kavacik. Hidiv Kasri is one of the few points in Anatolian side of Istanbul which you can find green. It's of course smaller than similar gardens in other European cities. The house is now a museum which holds a restaurant. There is... More

Climb the hill from the seaside of Bosphorus. Climb some more and see an amazing palace from Ottoman Empire.

View and flowers are fantastic. But service and food is so so. You pay 25 TL for a weekend brunch, you get 15TL worth food and service. To wander ariund, you don't have to pay a dime, which is the most beautiful part. Go in spring to see all the tulips.

Visit especially in spring to see the garden with colorful flowers. It has a great view of bosphorus. There is a restaurant inside of the histrorical building and a cafe in the garden . On weekends restaurant offers brunch. It's very crowded in spring and summer season.

It is a small palace renowated years ago by a famous architecte. It was a wonderful place with a big garden. The service and the location was wonderful. However, during last years, this kiosk is managed by the a govermental company and they cut the roses in the garden and replaced it with concrete ugly pool. The service is awful:... More

After an authentic and eye-opening bus trip (which caused us to miss our 1TL tea in perfectly servicable cafe watching the enthusiastically shouting fish traders) we trekked through the Kanlica ghetto, up the HILL (an understatement). We reached "architectural gem of a building and extensive superb garden" (according to Lonely Planet Istanbul 2010) which was no walk in the park.... More

We visited Hidiv Kasri June 4, 2010. We had the most decadent dessert of our entire trip! Deep fried ice cream, rolled in toasted coconut with diced watermelon, honeydew, and apples underneath. Absolutely the best. Then we toured the grounds and building. I must say, I wish there were more historical facts available about the place. But, it was very... More
