We spent a week in Istanbul and decided to get a guide for a day to see some of the places that were a little outside of the main tourist area so we chose the Golden Istanbul tour. It was very convenient because it included a van and allowed us to cover more ground. Ms. Sibel was fantastic and very... More

We (I and my family and 1 friend with his family) visited Istanbul in the middle August 2015. We have tour guide, Mr. Ahmed, who guided us for 1 day tour around old city of Istanbul. He is a nice, friendly, informative and recommended tour guide. Good luck for Mr. Ahmed.

Join 2 full day private tours. The guide was funny , knowledgeable and experienced. Besides showing us the historical part of Istanbul. He also brought us to a local restaurant for lunch where we could tried out some traditional dishes. Enjoy it very much.

We had an excellent private tour of New Istanbul and the Bosphorus Strait with Furkan. Furkan met us at our hotel and provided us with an easy going tour that allowed us to enjoy all the sites of our tour. He was very professional and knowledgeable in the history of Istanbul, including Turkey as a whole. He was also quite... More

We had a wonderful private tour of Istanbul on June 12 off our cruise ship. Furkan was an informative tour guide who also knew where to go and when to be there. I highly recommend his services and this company. From the moment we booked until our tour was complete, they were nothing short of courteous, helpful, and friendly. Questions... More

Prior to the tour, I had to make many changes and they were extremely flexible with me. Our guide was knowledgeable, professional, and allowed us to move at our own pace. My college-age daughter can be easily bored, but she was fascinated with the history and all the sights we saw. We did the classical tour and it was excellent.... More

We had a couple of days touring Istanbul with Furkan en route to the Stans. He took us everywhere we wanted to go and more, was very knowledgeable (including and especially about Turkish food), and beat the cruise ship crowds at every one of the popular attractions. He was considerate of my husband's slow walking, and even helped us retrieve... More

We had a wonderful experience with Istanbul Guided Private Tours. From the very beginning when I emailed them - we received a prompt response and had tours designed for us that were customized to our desires. There was a driver waiting for us at the airport to take us to our hotel and the following day there again at 5:00am... More

Our visit in Istanbul was for 3 days only and we were looking for a way to maximize our time there. Istanbul Guided Tours is the answer! We did 2 tours. The Classical and the Food Tour. During the Classical Tour we did so much...most importantly we did not stand in line ...which is a reason to give on entering... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
