Stayed in Cheya Hotel. Very new hotel with Great service. Bus stop at the door. Besiktas is where Yildiz University is where my husband had a conference. Besiktas is the modern side of Istabul with lots of small restaurants and take away food. I love the wider road of Barbaros Blvd. Not much traffic. Accessible by bus to Kabatas station,... More

For me this area is the best and has a lot of life. Not many tourist attractions so not many tourist :) I would describe as calm but also lively. Many restaurants and good food.

This place is fantastic, has many small markets in the middle of the street, offers many small restaurant (stay away from mcdonalds come on!) and many particular staff. Don't forget to take the ferry to go to the other side of the bosphorous asking a "shoe shiner" to clean your shoes, will be a unique experience!!!

Besiktas is a really cool place to hang out and chill. Dolmabahce Sarayi is here however I didn't actually have time to go there. I went to the starbucks here which is opposite a university there. I can't remember the name of the university but it wasn't the big bahcesehir university. Anyway I met some cool students from the uni... More

There is a nice cafe restaurant near the BAU university along the Bosphorous. I enjoyed a sandwich looking at the Bosporous view.

I like going to Beşiktaş with my friends. Especially , I love coast of Beşiktaş. When I go to there , we always drink tea and eat something together. I have been living in Beşiktaş for five months and I often go to Beşiktaş Çarşı and coast of Beşiktaş .

Besiktas is a must in Istanbul in my opinion. Dolmabahce Palace is there and the atmosphere is quite different from the one in Beyoglu or Sultanahmet(the most visited districts). It is very easy to reach it from the main attractions (T1 tram leads to Kabatas which is right near Dolmabahce Palace).

Besiktas square is a very popular meeting point with the Bosphorus ferries port, Navy Museum, Fish Market, various cafe and restaurants...You can experience the lively atmosphere of the city where locals hang around during day and night...
