We ordered one of these guided tours to Adalar (the islands), through our Hotel. Got the maximun discount, and the price down to 45 euros each. We were 12 adults og 2 kids, and was told that they didn´t want paid for the kids, so we were overall 12 people who were paying. Was told that the bus would pick... More

Re-assuringly good! We took a punt on the Turkey Travel Group after our hotel quoted an enormous price for a taxi (probably limousine) pick up from Ataturk. Glad we did: the price quoted was very reasonable and a driver was waiting for us, as agreed, when we came through arrivals. We decided to use them again a few days later... More

I travelled with a group of friends, 7 of us in total. We're recommended TTG by one of their satisfied customers. Generally the guides are very accommodating and helpful, thus making our trip a pleasant one. The command of English of all the guides is good, and details of our itinerary are explained to us with clarity. The hotels that... More

I planned a trip with TTG Travel of Istanbul. As regards air tikets, transfers, and our short trip to Cappadoccia plus one day Konya (where TTG had another travel agency that was HTR tours in Urgup (www.htrtours.com- very profesionist and excellent travel agency) we have been really very satisfied in every particular. BUT: we asked also a daily trip from... More

I and my wife were very motivated to visit Bursa while staying in Istanbul some days: we expected to see old buildings, mosques, and to learn more about the first period of the Ottoman Empire (14th Century). On the paper the city is more or less 100 km south to Istanbul and the tourist agencies organize a daily trip to... More

We had a great experience with the services from TTG. When I started to plan for the vacation to Turkey, I sent an enquiry and immediately got a response from one Ms. Ozlem Batal. I had several discussion regarding the itinerary and she was very accommodative to all my requests. She gave very good suggestions and finally I decided on... More

My husband and I have traveled the world independently, but saw a deal to Turkey on Gate 1 and couldn't resist the bargain. I have to say, we both were extremely pleased with the tour. Our guide, Ender, was extremely professional, so passionate and a true lover of Turkish history. We also were very impressed with our driver Adil and... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
