Our trip to Istanbul and Santorini was absolutely amazing. Everything was taken care of for us so quickly and efficiently. The hotel in Turkey was great (Recital) and Santorini Palace in Greece was simply stunning. My wife and I would go back in a heartbeat and we would definitely work with Rachel and her group again. I wish we had... More

We visited Turkey in July, 2015 and the entire trip was managed by TTG. We were in touch with Aslan and he was very prompt from the beginning. We visited Istanbul, Ephesus, Pamukkale and Cappadocia. Every guide through the trip was knowledgeable, well spoken and patient. All lunches were excellent and were buffets, offering a wide selection even for vegetarians.... More

We loved the "Glories of Turkey" trip. We got to experience touristic highlights as well as the "normal" daily things. Our tour director, Ugur, made the trip much more interesting by providing all sorts of historical and geographical information. We thouroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it.

Rina answers email promptly and makes sure all the details are in place. We arranged for 2 shore excursions (one in Istanbul, one in Kusadasi). We were met as we got off the boat and were attentively guided both days. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and professional. Both lunches were wonderfully memorable. Our 2 best days of a 12 day... More

I went to Turkey in September 2015. We are from Canada. A lot of our friends advised us not to go. We were told, that being a group of four women, we would be treated poorly, disrespectfully. Along with the recent flood of immigrants and the fighting along the Syrian boarders, we were a little nervous. I wish to express... More

We booked our turkey schedule through TTG group, based on previous reviews. Emails are given fairly prompt reply. Itineraries are scheduled without fuss. They claimed they dont charge commission for domestic flights. We covered Ephesus, Kusadasi and pamukalle besides istanbul. At places other than istanbul, they have tie ups with other travel groups. We were not satisfied with their partner... More

Post a cruise we booked this company with a guide for a day tour of istanbul concluding with an airport drop off. Over all is was a very good experience and a cheaper alternative to the cruise line packages. In fact it was 2/5 of the cost of the cruise line. Vehicle was an aircondition van. The guide was knowledgable... More

We ordered one of these guided tours to Adalar (the islands), through our Hotel. Got the maximun discount, and the price down to 45 euros each. We were 12 adults og 2 kids, and was told that they didn´t want paid for the kids, so we were overall 12 people who were paying. Was told that the bus would pick... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
