The lady at the information desk of my hotel told me that the place to visit in Arasta Bazaar was this shop. The staff was very helpful and the goods were first class. They have all sizes of towels, robes, scarves and bath mitts. It was a lot of fun to look at all the colors and for handmade towels... More

I had read so much about Jennifer and her business so it was wonderful to be actually in her multi level showroom. Staff are knowledgeable, informative and not pushy in any way. The towels are wonderful and we bought lots for gifts, along with a few for ourselves. Great experience and our first buys in Istanbul.

After all glorious reviews of course that was our first stop in İstanbul. We had a week in İstanbul. So,after checking that shop we had time to compare prices and quality with other shops. After visiting to some other shops we find out that Jennifer was terribly expensive.Same towels were much less expensive in other shops. And those people were supporting their families... Jennifer's Hamam is tucked into the Arasta Bazaar, with a much larger, multi-level showroom a few blocks away. Jennifer and her staff are wonderful, welcoming, and, most importantly, knowledgeable about their products. I will fully admit there is a little sticker shock associated with Jennifer's, but once you understand the quality of the items, you understand it's well worth the... More

Professional customer service, very helpful and pollite staff, good quality, very nice shop! I was reading earlier about this shop and I read that it is expensive, but in my opinion, considering the quality of the products, I would not say this is very expensive after conmaring the prices and the quality in other shops. The prices are set and... More

Stopped in Jennifer's small location outside the blue mosque to look for a robe. The staff were in the middle of lunch, but stopped to tell us a little about the items and pointed out the new, larger showroom down the street. One gentleman even walked us there and refused the tip we offered for the guidance. At the larger... More

Lovely little shop in Arasta Bazaar where we spent ages mulling over colourful towels and scarves. Quality is lovely and the service was great - a very helpful yet unobtrusive salesman- and prices very good (compared to these kinds of articles in UK/Europe). I bought about 8 towels for gifts and they prepare them with a beautiful information card and... More

Arasta Bazar was literally next to our hotel, and I was looking for some bath towels, so I visited. Arasta Bazaar is indeed touristy, and there is a mixture of what appears to be really lovely shops selling special products and shops selling the bog standard at higher prices than elsewhere in town. Now, with Jennifers Hammam, I think it's... More

The best balance between cost and quality in Istanbul. I bought six "pestemal", ten soaps and one very old hand-made "bowl"... typically used in Hammams. They prepare lovelly gift packs. Ask for Khaldoun Al Rojouleh. More than just a vendor: a friendly story-teller. I strongly recommend this shop.

What can be more "old world" than shopping for fine Turkish textiles below the Hippodrome!?!?!? Jennifer's Hamam is an experience unto itself. Personal care with a variety that will surely satisfy your tastes. We love the huge, thick bathrobe and ecru fringed bath towels. Dish towels with tassels are elegant and fun for hostess gifts. Jennifer is right there, along... More
