great service by Hassan! I knew in advance to come here based on other reviews and was not disappointed. I bought 7 towels ranging in price from $40-$50 depending on size and material (linen more expensive than cotton). My GF wasn't intending to... but bought 3-4 towels and soaps herself. Hassan packed our purchases so neatly in a quality cloth... More

Best shop I walked into during my stay in Istanbul. You can't beat the quality of these towels and there are so many colours to choose from. Most of the staff speak very good english too. I bought so much in this store and the towels make good presents for friends back home.

Very nice products, all organic cotton and hand made so the prices are a bit higher than other stores. The people who work there are happy to explain all the product details and not bored at all to show you everything in the store. You can even order the robe size you want and have it delivered at your hotel.

I had read a lot about Jennifer's Hamam and saw that it is rated #1 here on TripAdvisor, so I had to make a stop. And I'm glad I did. First of all, the guys at the store are very sweet and welcoming (with a noticeably impressive English, thank God!) so communicating with them was easy. I took my time... More

It was our first time in Istanbul and we reserved the last few days for shopping, wanting to buy some gifts for friends that is authentically made in Turkey and not widely available in our home country. We visited the Arasta Bazaar, saw a striking Canadian flag in front of a linen shop. Since I am Canadian, out of curiosity... More

We have been to both shops in Arasta Bazaar on previous trips but always regretted not having consummated the visit with a towel purchase. This time we remedied that oversight and while the credit charge damage was significant, we were reassured in the knowledge that we had purchased quality products not to be found in bath product stores in North... During our stay in Istanbul we visited Jennifer's to buy some towels. We actually bought more than we planned beforehand, because their quality is amazing! We took two Hamam Towels for beach use with us and also long woven ones. Their style is great and after following the instructions (let them soak in cold water for 24h) they are a... More

I am glad I came across the recommendation for this store in my travel guide. I have yet to see another pestemal that is as beautiful as the one I ended up purchasing. Staff was knowledgeable, without being pushy. They ended up giving written washing instructions for my towel, too. I appreciate the emphasis on ecology and support of the... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
