I had the chance to be welcome by Jennifer herself when I went into her shop. She was kind, outreaching, yet very respectful and not pushy at all. Among all the beautiful products on display, I ended up ordering a couple of customized hand-woven curtains which I got by mail promptly. Their quality and beauty stand out in my house... More

Jennifer's Hamam is the real deal in terms of authentic Turkish textiles. One Jennifer's (the owner) goals is to revive traditional Turkish weaving techniques, by training Turkish women in those techniques. Her weavers use only materials grown in Turkey (silk and GOTS certified cotton) on old-style shuttle looms. She has two shops in the Arasta Bazaar - look for the... More

We had been shopping in Istanbul for several days and our eyes had become glossed over at the same designs and quality of textiles in so many stores--with service ranging from passively benign to uncomfortably aggressive. So when we saw the beautiful, interesting and unique designs at Jennifer's Hamam in Arasta Bazaar, we were immediately drawn in. We were taken... More

I had read about Jennifer in our local Canadian paper and so was enthusiastic about visiting her store at the Aresta Bazaar. What a delightful time my husband and I had with her in her new showroom ( located in close proximity to her storefront ). We learned about towel construction, both traditionally and in modern times. We purchased a... More

Before we visited Istanbul, I read about shops to visit. Since my daughter's name is Jennifer, I thought it would be fun to buy something for her from this store. I neglected to write down the address, but as we were going through the Arasta Bazaar in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul, we passed Jennifer's Hamam. (At that time I... More

We were in Istanbul, Turkey at the beginning of November 2014 and wanted to purchase original Turkish towels. We found Jennifer's name and decided to visit her when we were in Istanbul. What a gem of a store! She has some of the most beautiful towels and linens by the weavers she supports. The quality is superb, prices are very... More

I kept looking in the window of Jennifer's Hamam in the Arasta Bazaar and admiring the beauty and quality of the towels. On my last day in Istanbul, I ventured inside and although I didn't meet Jennifer, her sales assistant was very helpful. She has 2 shops in this bazaar and also a warehouse nearby, which I didn't visit. You... More

Be very careful. If you love quality towels and linens, you will be endlessly seduced by this shop. I visited Jennifer's Hamam three times, during my past visit. While I did not meet Jennifer, herself, the gentleman working (who helped me all three times), was absolutely amazing. I did extensive research around the shops and bazaars, before committing to a... I know this review is a little late, but wanted to share my experience with everyone. A month ago I was in Istanbul and had the great pleasure of visiting both of Jennifer's stores and her warehouse.I thought I had lost my mind; I loved everything. I bought a different assortment of towels, a robe and etc; I bought so... More

Come to think of it, I did... for a third time! I discovered Jennifer's Hamam in December 2012 during a visit to Istanbul, and it has become a mandatory stop for me every time I have traveled to Istanbul since. This time (Saturday, November 21), I made my first stop at the shop at the Arasta Bazaar. After looking at... More
