The amazing service and incredible array of weaves, colours and products all make for a worthwhile visit to Jennifer's Hamam. While browsing and trying to restrain yourself from purchasing more towels than you need Jennifer explains how they are eco-friendly created. My towels are one year old and still feel and look incredible. The tea towels and beach towels have... More

We've had our towels for a few years now and we are glad we bought them. Expensive, but the best. They remain as eye catching as when new and seem to always attract compliments. Ignore the date visited below - it is just the oldest allowed

Jennifer's Hamam is the only shop in Istanbul which sells hand-woven goods. As soon as I entered the shop, I felt the warm welcoming atmosphere. Jennifer herself was there to assist me and most importantly 'educate' me in the art of weaving. It is a pleasant fun experience by itself to visit the colourful shop. I spent some time there... My husband and I were totally enriched and rewarded by finding Jennifer's Hamam in the Arasta Bazaar, and meeting Jennifer, herself during our first visit. We’d been hoping to find something special to bring home from Turkey. For me, it was a dream to fall in love. I wanted to feel I would relish seeing and using this "something" every... More

I can't tell you how many other shops we visited after first visiting and getting the lowdown from one of the sales reps at Jennifer's, but I'd say it was at least 10 others - both in Arasta Bazaar and at the Grand Bazaar. The quality, variety and pricing of the Pestamels and various other towels and shawls was exceptional... More

Jennifer's textiles are not only beautiful, she is a wonderful person to do business with. She is someone who is genuinely contributing to sustainability in Turkey. Her pestamals are the best and the price is right for top quality. Her designs are unique and a trip to her store is a great experience. Each May my husband and I take... More

We had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer at one of her two shops in the Arasta Bazaar, Istanbul, on a recent trip to Turkey and Greece, and we were delighted that a lady from the same city that we live in (Edmonton, Canada) has done so much to revive the ancient art of weaving in Turkey. Jennifer's shop is easily... More

I was lucky to meet Jennifer in the shop when visiting; she was very helpful and told me all about the artisans she supports through selling their towels in her shop. Being a woman traveler in Istanbul, I had several questions about Istanbul/Turkish hamam culture, which Jennifer patiently listened to and answered. Everything she told me was useful, as I... More

From the moment I entered Jennifer's shop, I was hooked. Her products, created by true Turkish artisans, are amazing. The quality stands alone, but what was most captivating was Jennifer's story, her love for the artisans who create her designs, and her passion for a dying Turkish tradition. I admire her courage, her commitment and her tenacity as the only... More

Jennifer's Hamam is a gem in Istanbul. They are hidden a little bit away from all the action, but it makes for a much calmer, more relaxed shopping experience (as opposed to some of the other bazaars around town). Moreover, they have a great story -- Jennifer and her team work with local weavers who had been pushed out of... More
