The truth is, I was trying to avoid this store on my trip to Istanbul, for fear that it might be a tourist trap (even though I've read quite a bit of good reviews about it on various sites). I already happily broke my bank the day before, so I was avoiding other shopping temptations. But when I accidentally left... More

We visited Jennifer's Hamam on the Lonely Planet recommendation and I can not say enough about the products and the service. We visited the shop in Arasta Bazaar. (We much preferred the Arasta Bazaar over the main covered bazaar.) Because we could not decide what we wanted and we were spreading towels all over the place, we were taken to... More

What can I say that has not already been said about the friendly service at Jennifer's and the quality of their products? Not much. I am very glad that I bought the bath towels, the hand towels, the pestemals...I only wish I had bought a blanket for my bed!! My husband doesn't like to travel and doesn't appreciate the souvenirs... More

We had a wonderful experience purchasing beautiful towels from Jennifer's Hamam in the Arasta Bazaar in Istanbul. The sales personnel at the store were extremely friendly and helpful, explaining the differences between the various types of towels. They also were very patient, since we had a difficult time deciding among the myriad towel options and colors. We purchased some of... More

I wasn't going to buy any towels on my vacation but I couldn't resist the beautiful towels at Jennifer's Hamam. I also bought a robe and back home now I wear it every day! Worth a splurge!

We went to this store upon a recommendation of a friend from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Knowing that Jennifer was from our hometown made this a must check out for us. After visiting the store we were invited to the new showroom to view more products. What a great showroom. Three floors of towels, robes, scarves, and soaps. We ended up... More

When in Istanbul in May 2013, we were delighted to find Jennifer's Hamam and spent a very enjoyable time buying various presents and scarves whose quality stood out from many of the others on offering the city. Then my husband sadly lost his treasured scarf in November. I emailed Jennifer to see if there was any chance of replacing it.... More

I feel so sorry that Jennifer's shop was my last visited shop in Istanbul, I already shopped too many things in the Grand Bazaar, but I still bought a bath towel and some soaps, if it is my first day in Istanbul, I would buy much more!! Come to Jennifer's shop at the first day! Then you don't wanna shop... More

I had the chance to be welcome by Jennifer herself when I went into her shop. She was kind, outreaching, yet very respectful and not pushy at all. Among all the beautiful products on display, I ended up ordering a couple of customized hand-woven curtains which I got by mail promptly. Their quality and beauty stand out in my house... More

Jennifer's Hamam is the real deal in terms of authentic Turkish textiles. One Jennifer's (the owner) goals is to revive traditional Turkish weaving techniques, by training Turkish women in those techniques. Her weavers use only materials grown in Turkey (silk and GOTS certified cotton) on old-style shuttle looms. She has two shops in the Arasta Bazaar - look for the... More
