Decided to visit Jennifer's hammam in Arasta bazaar after good reviews on tripadvisor. Easy to locate the shop in Arasta bazaar. Nazareen was very informative and helpful in explaining about various Turkish towels and pestimal. Picked quite a few towels as gifts for my family. Would recommend her shop as they are supporting hand weavers and village craftsmen.

I have had the luxury of working in Turkey part time since 2006 and full time since 2011. Like everything in this article has said, Turkish towels are simply the best and from what I have seen sold worldwide. Though there are many places to buy, all Turkish towels are not created equal. After extensive personal experience buying gifts over... More

I visited Jennifer's Hamam showroom, after visiting one of her two shops in the Arasta Bazaar. There's three floors of the best quality towels, pestemals, blankets, scarves and other textiles you'll ever find, with very knowledgeable and helpful staff (without being pushy at all!). Prices are fixed, which I love - prices are very reasonable for the gorgeous quality and... More

Our week in Istanbul was topped off perfectly with a trip to Jennifer's towel shop. It was a great experience from beginning to end. I absolutely love all my new towels. All should also know about this Arasta Bazaar. Unlike the Grand Bazaar, this one is small and personal and the shop owners do not hassle you. It you really... More

As I saw so many great reviews about Jennifer's Hamam here and there, I went to the stores (there are three) and purchased a few silk scarves. First, they are very well run store, staffs are great and the products are beautiful. But the price? The special feature of the store is that they only sell organic products. I understand... More

We took a cruise for our 35th anniversary in June that ended in Istanbul. While shopping in the local bazaar we saw a store with a Canadian flag and stopped in. They had amazing towels, robes, etc. made with Turkish workmanship on old style shuttle looms with linen, silk and cotton materials ... not the machine made, non-organic products that... More

The products here are outstanding. The service is remarkable; the salespeople are very knowledgable about their products but do not push you to buy. Bathrobes, towels, and scarves are just some of the products you can by here. This is a fair-trade store so there is no haggling. But everything is reasonably priced and everything is made in Turkey. You... More

Think the previous reviews have said pretty much everything about the place. The shopping experience is outstanding due to the super professional sales persons. The quality of there products is indeed superior compared to the garbage sold on the Grand or Egyptian Bazar. I would recommend anyone being lead straight to the big show room around the corner to experience... More

We were pleasantly surprised by our visit to Jennifer's Hamam. The salesperson (a man whose name I can't remember, sorry!) was very confident (this is not to be confused with being pushy) and gave us a thorough explanation of what they offer and how the towels are produced. He explained that the towels do vary in price and we started... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
