As a Canadian woman visiting Istanbul, a trip to Jennifer's Hamam shop in the Arasta Bazaar was high on my list of things to do. Once in the shop I became interested in a bedspread and was invited to visit the showroom, which is a short walk away, where they had more stock. What a treat! I had the pleasure... More

My husband and I were recently on holidays in Istanbul. In preparation for shopping in the Arasta Bazaar (local to our hotel) I had read reviews which highlighted Jennifer’s passion and preservation of old-style Turkish workmanship and utility of organic and certified materials in textiles. With a passion for quality, I knew I could not leave Turkey without browsing these... More

The great thing about travel is finding something unique, beautiful, and indigenous to where you are. Jennifer's Hamam is all three. Her shop in the Arrasta Bazaar (make sure it is the one with the Canadian flag in the window) and the showroom (truly) a three minute walk away is a required stop on any trip to Instanbul. The craftsmanship... More

These towels are that amazing! Truly hand woven with organic cottons but individual weavers, not factories. If you don't see what you want in one of the shops in the Arasta Bazaar ask to go to the new show room which is about a 10 minute walk. Be sure to look for the Canadian flag in the window. Jennifer's Hamam... More

The amazing service and incredible array of weaves, colours and products all make for a worthwhile visit to Jennifer's Hamam. While browsing and trying to restrain yourself from purchasing more towels than you need Jennifer explains how they are eco-friendly created. My towels are one year old and still feel and look incredible. The tea towels and beach towels have... More

We've had our towels for a few years now and we are glad we bought them. Expensive, but the best. They remain as eye catching as when new and seem to always attract compliments. Ignore the date visited below - it is just the oldest allowed

Jennifer's Hamam is the only shop in Istanbul which sells hand-woven goods. As soon as I entered the shop, I felt the warm welcoming atmosphere. Jennifer herself was there to assist me and most importantly 'educate' me in the art of weaving. It is a pleasant fun experience by itself to visit the colourful shop. I spent some time there... My husband and I were totally enriched and rewarded by finding Jennifer's Hamam in the Arasta Bazaar, and meeting Jennifer, herself during our first visit. We’d been hoping to find something special to bring home from Turkey. For me, it was a dream to fall in love. I wanted to feel I would relish seeing and using this "something" every... More

I can't tell you how many other shops we visited after first visiting and getting the lowdown from one of the sales reps at Jennifer's, but I'd say it was at least 10 others - both in Arasta Bazaar and at the Grand Bazaar. The quality, variety and pricing of the Pestamels and various other towels and shawls was exceptional... More

Jennifer's textiles are not only beautiful, she is a wonderful person to do business with. She is someone who is genuinely contributing to sustainability in Turkey. Her pestamals are the best and the price is right for top quality. Her designs are unique and a trip to her store is a great experience. Each May my husband and I take... More
