Well worth taking the full tour of the straits. We were slightly surprised that it was pencilled in for 6 hours - but this does allow for 3 hours in Anadolu Hisari the village closest to the Black Sea. So you can take an earlier boat back to istanbul. Hike up to the castle was hard work but good views... More

We decided to take the famous Bosphorus trip. We used the public tourism company (Sehir Hatlari) and we took a very nice cruise in the Bosphorus, all the way to the Black Sea. It's a 5 or 6 hour cruise but it is worth every minute. It stops in the Asian side of the Bosphorus close to the beginning of... More

When you visit Istanbul make sure you take a boat tour, very well prices at TL12 for 1.5 hours. The ferry to Kadikoy is even better value.

We had an interesting trip with informative guide. Some fantastic real estate along the strait - $45 Million upwards. Great to travel under the immense new suspension bridges on the ferry.

A great experience to take a cruise on the Nosphorus Strait and see the amazing architecture on both sides.

One of my favourite activities is to get on a Bosphorous Cruise and enjoy the scenes of Istanbul while on the ferry.

i took a cruise on the strait, very delightful. we sailed under the Suspension bridges (one of them at a time, the longest in the world) and also stopped over at the Kız Kulesi, a light house and was pleasantly surprised that it featured in "the World is not alone" by James Bond!

This Bosphorus Strait boat tour was a truly breathtaking experience. I saw parts of the area I had never seen before and was treated to an oral description of all the marvelous places we passed. It was a memorable day.

We took the boat tour after already being in Istanbul for about 5 days which gave us some idea of what we were seeing. We just walked down to where the tour boats launch, there was a boat leaving in 5 minutes so we just payed a small amount (I cannot remember exactly how much, around $20) and hopped on.... More

The streets and people and sights are wonderful, but seeing Istanbul from the Bosphorus is special. The mosques and palaces, the boat traffic, the blue water, and the view of the Black Sea make for a special day that should be a part of any visit. We highly recommend Turkish Heritage Travel for this experience. It is always nice to... More
