Istanbul is a place to be experienced. Very cosmopolitan with a lot of heritage and history. We loved the river side as much as we did the palaces and mosques.

Historical areas around the Topkapi Palace are all within walking distance and can be visited in one day. There are kiosks selling Turkish foods around the area but the area can be be pretty crowded around spring and summer.

So much to see, so many cobblestones to traverse. Istanbul has many historical sites, several clustered fairly close to each other. Walk by yourself or take a tour, you can't see everything, but soak it up - especially my 2 favourites - the underground water cisterns and the spice market (buy some dates, figs and nuts while you are walking... The great historic sites at the old part of istanbul with steep walk to reach is such an experience definitely worth, even though taxi rides are also available, walking through the narrow alleys and exploring the architucture style is highly recommended.

We passed this part of the day and night and it is difficult to say when it is more beautiful and more interesting.Every now and then you need to stop, take pictures of something that you have never seen anywhere.

Liked?? Istanbul, ruled by Greeks, Romans, Greeks, Seljuks, Ottoman Turks, has thousand-year monuments on every corner. The smallest churches have ageless frescoes, murals, grand architecture. Unlike other Islamic countries, the mosques are open to the non-Islamic public (and usually supply "suitable" clothing), and, many of them having been converted from Greek Orthodox churches, have their own images. A grand grand... More

There are many different historical buildings in Istanbul. But regard to time limitation, the best and most excited palace is Dolmabache palace that is located in Asian part of Istanbul.your visit prolonged about 2 hours but your time is unforgettable time. in comparison to Topcapy palace , Dolmabache palace is more interesting palace. in the other hand, there are many... historic areas of Istanbul are so rich in the places of interest, that you simply are at a loss, not knowing which place to choose to start your acquaintance with the city...that's why you should make a plan what places do want to visit and in what sequence...as for me i started with the Archaeological Museum and never regretted my...
