I knew about this shop before going to Istanbul and we decided to pop in after visiting the Grand Bazaar. We found the garments on offer to be of excellent quality and construction. My wife bought one jacket off the rack for herself as it fit her perfectly and I got one jacket custom made based on one of the... More

Having visited this beautiful shop before I decided to order a jacket to be made so that we could collect it whilst in the city. They were very helpful and efficient when I orders the item, and the jacket perfect. It didn't even need any alterations ! They have TOP quality leather, suede and snakeskin products. In my opinion one... More

I did my homework and read the reviews of the Prens Leather prior to my November 2015 visit to Istanbul. I had 1,5 days in Istanbul, a short transit stop on my way to Latvia, and I wanted to by myself a shearling coat. So, the Prens was the first place I went to look for the coat I wanted.... More

When we arrived at Prens Leather, we were greeted politely by the staff. Dilek the attendance was very professional and attentive. We were window browsing and wanted to know the price of a jacket we saw, however once we got in we started trying on various jackets and ended up buying two. The prices are reflective of the quality of... More

My husband and I had read the rave reviews of Prens Leather on TA before our trip to Istanbul; needless to say, Prens became a top priority for us. We called the shop and the owners immediately made arrangements to pick us up at our hotel in less than an hour. In fact, one of the owners arrived in his... More

Excellent service and top notch leather jackets. We were lucky to meet Mr. Cem, owner of the store who made sure we were happy at all levels and even offered to repair a jacket we had with us which was bought elsewhere for free. Superb experience.

As many said, it is overpriced. However one has to consider the following: The price on the tag if paid in full no matter if in low or high season is the price for the tourist bait. When slashed in half, it is the price you would pay in North America in full, so considering that you hauled your derrière... More

Cem & his colleagues are absolutely fantastic. The staff are professional, friendly and provide a superb personal service. They make you feel at ease the moment you walk in the door. The selection of stylish clothes is impressive. I would recommend anyone visiting Istanbul or living here to visit Prens Leather.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
