Not impressed! This hotel is living on its past reputation and is now jaded and unimpressive. The bedroom were were allocated had a stained carpets, filthy net curtains and was dingy and souless. We only had to stay one night (thank goodness) but there were 5 weddings on our arrival day, and 7 weddings planned on our departure day -... more

We started our tour of Sri Lanka at the Mount Lavinia and you certainly get a good reception on arrival the uniformed staff leap into action and you are wisked into the reception and a cold drink is thrust into your hand before you have time to get your bearings. The room we where allocated was fine a little tired... more

My wife and I, along with our two teenage boys and another family spent our 1st night of our Christmas holidays in this hotel.
