Quality store and cute cafe

This bright and cheery store is loaded with fun gifts, books and fabrics. The gallery attached to the cafe outside also has great art at very reasonable prices.

Stumbled upon this little gem on my first day in Colombo. It's swinging on Sunday afternoons, there's a live local jazz band, and there's a queue to be seated so get there early! Tony, the manager, is the epitome of jovial. He made me feel right at home and gave me lots of tips on what to do with the... More

We visited Barefoot several times in our stay, mostly for lunches, which were good, well presented and very tasty. The prices were good too, with lunch for two coming in around 2000/rs inc tax and service. Liked the shop too :-)

I loved the old house and the decor, was so relaxed and inviting. Some of the staff not really welcoming, but I guess there used to a lot of tourist... arts and crafts item nice and varied... however a bit pricy... got the same stuff away from Colombo for half the price. But worth a visit if your there. Go... More

Everything is very expensive in this store, waste of time and money. Nothing much to buy if you really interested in buying only souvenir like tshirt or keychain.

Retuned back to SL after 8 years and promptly paid a visit to Barefoot. I was delighted that the product range and quality remained as what it was. However, I was shocked by the sheer rudeness and lack of service in the shop. I wanted some custom made pillow cases and took much effort to locate the staff in charge... More

I love fabrics so of course I'm going to like Barefoot. I had been there many years ago and was looking to visiting again. While it was fun to see many of the same designs that delighted me years ago, I was bit surprised that there wasn't much new after all these years. Apparently the classics are sufficient to carry... Great handmade linen or clothes of high quality, with colourful patterns. Plenty of other home items and souvenirs to shop in a very nice environment, with a highly commended cafe-restaurant at the back. Definitely worth a visit !
