After driving out of Islamabad ,on Murree road At Barakahoo there's a road going to Simly Dam.Yes I totally agree with another reviewer, that the road condition is not satisfactory and half of the road is Rally track. You feel like going through a Maze to get around the dam.The only adventurous part of the journey is travelling through the tunnel... I visited Simly Dam in recent days it is a place for persons who would like to get concentration and calm. Very nice place to spend a whole day but having your own food along with you. A CDA guest house is there but they only provide cooking facility only.

Nice place to visit, But no food items available, When you reach near Simly dam area there will be two paths leading towards dam I prefer the way that goes from tunnel. Its all natural beauty over there and nice place for photography.

Its a nice place to visit. There is still room to make it better with tourist facility. Bring in more water sport.

As rightly pointed out by another contributor, there is nothing to visit at Simly Dam. Unless you are sitting on a laser guided missile or have been here before, you cannot reach this place. And once you reach here after driving on half a road and half a dirt rally track, you find out that there is nothing here. If... More

The place is deserted. The road condition is poor and the vegetation / wild growth makes the road even narrower. There are hardly any signs to lead you in the right direction and even if you successfully make it to the lake, there is hardly anything to do. No facilities, no water sports, no life guards, no public and no... More
