This place is great with authentic Mongolian dumpling with beef. You can ride a horse here for at least 45 minutes, of course with the horse owner pulling your horse from the front. Riding across vast grasslands is something that you should try.

Terelj is one of the most beautiful valleys in Mongolia, and during the socialist era it was the high prestige resort for the nation. Today the scenery is as magnificent as ever, but the sprawling ger camps and hordes of bus tours have taken a sad toll. If you can ignore them and only look at the beauty, Terelj is... More

This park is really close to UB so it's worth going for a day or more. It's quite nice and accessible. However, if you have many days free, I recommend you go somewhere a bit more interesting... like the Gobi!

We stayed in Terelj Lodge for two days to explore the national park. It is a beautiful national park we saw Yaks, visited natural rock formation of a turtle, a meditation temple, and a leisure two hour horseback riding. Highly recommended!!

Best way to experience the park is with Dream Adventure ger camp, including the thrill ride to get there (they pick you up by jeep in UB). All my family are completely inexperienced horse riders but with their guidance (my guide never let go of my horse) I was able to enjoy the experience. The small camp sits in a... More

We went there on a daytrip from Ulaanbataar, it is worth a visit, and very impressive, but note that in summer and especially on weekends it is fulll of tourists and mongolian tourists. There are many roads so you have to make sure to stay off the beaten path o get some unique experience. We went there with a daytour... More

Visited Terelj National Park on a work trip so didn't do much in the way of sightseeing, but the scenery was beautiful and it's definitely worth a visit.

In a grassy valley with rocky mountains around, horses grazing and villages of gers. Photogenic. Worth walking up to the meditation centre for the great views.
