I was expecting a much more developed well established town - but found this area disappointing I. It's lack of basic facilities for tourists. It is not a pretty town - and there is nothing really there other than 2 little mini markets. Don't get your hopes up for a little cafe with wifi - you will be disappointed! The... More

A very nice park, with a lot of various nature to offer ))) Turtle rock is something to see, but there are also a lot of things to do, like climbing and rocky mountains. Some other of the mountains have lots of trees. All green and relaxing, fresh air. I stayed in a yurta, a good experience of feeling nomadic people`s... More

Terej is the diverse and most beautiful natural park close to UB. Just over one hour drive from UB to Terelj. All the way to Terelj its packed with sight seen and restaurants with a reasonably good road. Terelj is naturally beautiful park with tast of everything Mongolia could offer.

I normally stay at Terelj Lodge and have also played the local golf course a few times too. Highly recommended as it's only an hours drive outwith... More

We spent a few days in Terelj National Park with our guide, Joe, from Selena Travel. The park is located close to Ulaanbaatar and is an easy drive. My favorite memories from the park seeing the different rock formations (Turtle Rock, etc.) and driving through fields in search for a nomadic family. All-in-all, this is a great place to spend...
