The Terelj national park has breathtaking scenary, reminded me of Colorado or a western movie. I visited & climbed Turtle rock, walked up the large temple, had lunch in a Ger and rode a horse. All in all a very nice day out. Only thing bad is that its all part of the same tourist package and while I cannot... More

Stayed in a basic ger at Terelj Lodge, one of the ger camps available in the park. Great food, fantastic guides, friendly and helpful staff. Loads to do and see including riding, hiking, games, bar.

A wild and unforgiving park but the unique views and cultural density was overwhelming. Be sure to visit a Ger camp as you'll see the Mongolian people in an entirely different light.

You can't come to Mongolia and not visit this national park. The beauty is almost unspoiled. The openness is vast. Lots of ger camps to be found. Around 400 different ones. Check them out to see which one is for you. Lots to see and do so make sure you have the time to take it all in.

View Mongolian nature at its best. Just an hour away from Ulaan Baatar provides for stunning views, experience holding really wide winged eagles, ride two hump camels, ride a horse, enjoy the unadulterated landscape. Hike among the wooded hills, see the famous turtle rock and hike the monastery. It was an amazing experience. This place is alive in summer.

Fantastic outing into the countryside. Traditional lunch in a yurt, Mongolian vodka is great & I never drink spirit normally. After lunch we had a concert, wrestling competition, a display of archery & youngsters in a horse race. Wonderful trip, with stunning scenery

We have traveled through three vastly different areas of Mongolia but this has been my favorite. The natural reserve set in a deep valley was breathtaking everywhere you looked. We sat out on a patio each morning and evening enthralled by the views. We drove all around, saw turtle rock, visited a monastery, one of only two meditation monasteries left... More

Terelj is the weekend destination of choice for UB residents and tourists looking to escape the city. It's a beautiful valley with plenty of hiking and recreational opportunities suitable for all kinds of tourists but at the same time it can be very crowded. You will want to stay overnight, but take care in selecting from the dozens and dozens... More

It was my first time to see this sort of topography and I love it! We stopped by turtle rock where some of my friends went up the rock while we were busy looking at the camels nearby. We stayed at a Ger at the back of UB-2 hotel and it was a pleasant experience except early in the morning... More

Absolutely stunning topography. Beautiful, pristine landscapes, free-roaming sheep, goats, cow and horses.
