Visited the Park in late December 2009. We took the local bus (14?) which was packed and really I enjoyed as much as Buddha Park. ( I quite like taking local buses rather than tour buses but I know this mode of transport does not suit everyone.) It would probably be a reasonable bike ride as well! The park is... more

This is a park about ten acres in size with a lot of concrete statues that are about fifty years old. It is an attempt to show both Buddism and Hinduism in the same setting. It is lots of statues with no explanations given. I had a great time but that was because I had a guide take me there... more

To get to the Buddha Park you will need to take a taxi or bus, it is a bit far to walk from the capital city of Vientiane. We asked around about where to get the bus, but when we got there we had just missed it so we took a taxi. On the way back we took the bus... more
