We come here on every visit to Vientiane. There is always a good range of genuine Laotian handicrafts, dearer than in the market but you can be sure that your money is going to help women earn an income and be self sufficient. There is a variety of crafts, but includes scarves, cushion and pillow covers, purses, bags, and some... More

The Mulberry Farm is one of the very few places now where you can see the whole silk process, from the mulberry orchards, to the silkworms and cocoons (which they send out to the villages for the ladies to process and spin) to the fining and dyeing with naturally grown dyes, and weaving, so that the end product ends up... Maybe also a farm but this is a beautiful handicrafts store downtown Vientiane. Lots of silk and some natural products- creams etc. Prices are expensive.

We had a chance to spend few days in Mulberries farm and it was absolutely amazing experience. We admire a lot work of Lao people, who put a lot of passion in every single product. We recommend you to visit shop and if possible farm itself, we are sure it will be unforgettable experience.

I stumbled across this store while wandering around Vientiane. A good range of beautiful, silk, fairtrade products. Would have spent more if I hadn't already been shopping in Luang Prabang. Free chilled water.

very nice souvenirs to bring from Laos. Especially nice scarves made of silk in lovely colours! Also embroidered cloths and scarves. The place also has a lot of knick knacks and a friendly staff, that speaks some English. Overall a god stop for sme shopiing.

Conveniently located in the heart of Old Colonial Vientiane, this shop is a must-see for those interested in Lao Silk and other products. They also have some Hmong-inspired (or maybe they're actually Hmong-made) goods--pillow cases and the like. Prices are fair to moderate, and sometimes they have sales. The sales people are very helpful.

Beautiful handmade silk scarves, embroidered pouches for jewelry, makeup and lingerie, hand quilted pot holders and coasters other gifts and knickknacks. You are getting the real things here as Vientiane is now awash with machine made fakes. A great outlet for an NGO that helps women.

The atmosphere from the moment we stepped into the shop was comfortable and welcoming. They had a table set up where we could have free Mulberry tea and lychee candies while shopping. The range of things to buy was not huge but the fact that Mulberries is a Fair Trade place was significant to us. The air conditioning was also... More
