This was by far one of the highlights of our 3 month trip all over SE Asia! We went with Betelnut Tours to Phnom Tamao and spent the day seeing all sorts of amazing animals up close and personal. We fed monkeys, gibbons, otters, deer, elephants, and ourselves with the delicious Cambodian lunch prepared according to our dietary needs! Bring... More

Phnom Tamao was the highlight of my trip & when I head back to Phnom Penh sometime soon I would definitely go on the tour again! It took me quite a while to locate Lazy Gecko Cafe & I was a little late but I was so glad Vathana, her dad & Phors didn't leave without me! So thankful for... More

We had so much fun on our tour to the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary. Our guide Porse (I hope I have spelt that right) really made our day. She knew the animals so well and some of their stories and they all come over to meet her when she called them (I loved the otters!) Porse had food to feed... More

I feel so blessed to have found and met Aram and Vathana. They were very personal guides – they shared stories about themselves and their country. Our road trip up the mountain felt more like friends on a getaway! There was no awkwardness or lack of topics to talk about thanks to their amicable personalities! We were constantly entertained by... More

Aram gave us an amazing day out. He was friendly all the way. He shared personal details with us and showed us a part of cambodia he really cared about. The visit to the zoo was unique in a way that you won't find in a lot of places. We got to pet, hug and feed the elephant lucky, the... More

Our family of 6 from NZ were picked up fro our hotel in the jeep in the morning and we had prearranged to go the the killing fields first. They dropped us off at the killing feilds for a few hours before picking us back up in the jeep and motoring out to Tamao Wildlife Rescue Park. This place blew... More

We booked up with Betelnut Tours at the Lazy Gecko cafe to visit this amazing wildlife sanctuary. We had read some reviews on this "zoo" that did not sound so good, but we decided to go anyway. Right from the start Aram could not have been more welcoming. The jeep was out of action but Aram very safely drove us... More

I rarely do tours as I enjoy the solo adventure. I'm so glad I took this tour though as I would have missed out on so much had I done it without a guide. The park is just to big to do on your own. A couple run this tour (Dutch and Cambodian) and they themselves were just as much... More

A must do if you are in Phnom Penh. The Phnom Tamao wildlife rescue centre is doing great things for native Cambodian animals and no better way to experience it than with the guys at Betelnut tours. Unfortunately the Jeep was out of action on the day we went, but it didn't really make a difference. Our tour guide Adam... More

I agree with everything the other reviewers have said - friendly guides, dusty but fun Jeep ride, great lunch, interesting animals (do buy the fruit from the vendors outside for the animals), and worth every penny. I'm not sure of our guides name but she was a lovely young woman and I enjoyed her immensely.
