We decided to go on a sunset cruise in Phnom Penh. Lots of operators trying to get tourists onto their boats. Jean Pierre Freneau's Kanika boat tour was absolutely brilliant. A quiet cruise along the shore line of Phnom Penh, with well presented food, a four course dinner, great service and a wide range of drinks to choose from. Book... More

Fabulous Sunset cruise on a charming boat. The crew was very attentive and the food and wine were excellent. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone going to Phom Penh !

We thought it a good idea to have dinner on the river one night, so we called ahead to make a reservation for the Kanika (closed on Monday). When we got there we were not sure what was wrong because the boat was deserted. As it turned out we were the only two guess that night and its a really... More

Just returned from Cambodia and must comment on the great time the three of us had on board Kanika. The service was brilliant the food was superb and the atmosphere just wonderful. Im not going to make a long winded review, but will say that high standards were more than met in every aspect of the dinner cruise, would do... More

We live in Phnom Penh and have been on at least a dozen sunset cruises, and this was by far the most disappointing. While advertised to last from 5:00-6:15, the boat left 15 minutes late (but still returned right on time). During the hour that the boat sailed, it traveled less than 1.5 miles total roundtrip, spending nearly 45 minutes... More

I went on this boat trip with a few expat friends. We had all been on boat trips before. I preferred this one because everything was taken care of. No negotiating for an hourly rate, no self catering, nobody had to remember to bring ice and plastic cups. Just get on the boat, sit down and take in the sights... More

We went on the sunset cruise from 5-6pm. We weren't expecting a lot as our hotel reception told us river yours were overrated but we thought we would try it out. For $7 it was great, beautiful views of the sunset and life along the river. Would definitely recommend

We went on the sunset cruise which starts at 5 and finishes at 6. The boat is nothing special, just a big boat that is probably suited to big tour groups. There were only four of us on the boat and it didn't leave till about 10 past 5, they were hoping more would appear I think but it was... More

I am sorry to hear that your experience on Kanika was not what you expected. While sometimes we do not leave at exactly 5pm, I always inform my crew to make sure that they cruise for at least an hour and on this occasion they did not. My apologies! I am sorry to hear that you did not think the... More

We really enjoyed our cruise. This was definitely one of the nicest boats on the river. It is hard to find as it is at the opposite direction to the others. Ask the Taxi to take you to Himawari Hotel then ask them to direct you to the Kanika Floating Restaurant. Make sure before you go you check times and... More
