We've just returned from a beautiful 8 day cruise on the Heritage Line's Jayavarman boat from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh city. This was a truly wonderful experience of luxury and immersion in Cambodian and Vietnamese culture. The boat takes 50 plus passengers, but there were only 17 of us, 4 Aussie couples aged 50 plus; an extended American... More

My husband and I had just returned from the fabulous Avalon Mekong Cruise. The boat was small and intimate accommodating only 32 passengers but there were only 18 of us with 20 staff. Just imagine how pampered we were. Our journey began in Bangkok and ended in Vietnam. From start to finish we has had 5* accommodation and service. The... More

We had a week long trip down the Mekong on the Heritage Line boat the Jahan. Our cabin was fabulous although it was the least expensive available. The Jahan is named after Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal, so is based on Indian design and décor. The cabins are much more spacious than we expected and the décor is... More

This was one of the best things we have ever done and highly recommend it to anyone of any age. Our trip started in Cambodia & travelled to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The ship was well fitted out and is going to have a refit in June so I won't mention the few niggles we had as I... More

I visited the Mekong in various places around Cambodia and I really loved Kratie. Countryside here is amazing and sunset behind the Mekong island is worth the not very comfortable journey to reach this nice and relaxing village.

..and somehow this cruise, may make any future ones, pale by comparison. We have arrived home and have had time on various flights and during our cruise, to reflect on what we had just experienced and for us both, we believe it was nothing short of fantastic. Speaking with our fellow passengers (there were around 58 of us), we were... More

This is a magical way to appreciate the many varied faces of the mighty Mekong river, and as you go down stream relatively little effort! You start from the little village of Ou Svay about 57 km north of Stung Treng, and after launching into the Mekong you are very soon been guided amongst trees and bushes, trying to steer... More

We got a fast boat from Phnom Phenh to Chau Doc in Vietnam and it was such a interesting way to travel over the border. You get to see all the locals along the way in the floating villages, see other boats loaded up with weird and wonderful things travelling along the river and you get a nice breeze through... More

The Jahan 7 day cruise along The Mekong was the highlight of our vacation. The staff and service were outstanding, the food was excellent and the tours were amazing. The suites were comfortable and luxurious.
