A short jaunt from the city centre is this cute little park. The main attraction is a large waterfall and there are various rainforest climbing trails. At one end of the park is an observation tower which was a nice place to just chill after climbing all over the place.

What we thought was going to be a leisurely walk turned into a fun affair . We had to go up rough terrain holding onto a rope It was a fun experience for us. Not for the feint hearted and you had to be reasonably fit . Lovely Park . On the top of the climb we came across the... More

A short walk from the Radisson hotel is this very pleasant park Many locals were in the area exercising and it had a great path network The waterfall was a bit disappointing as it had little water going over it despite being fed from the dam above it There was a very novel climbing wall next to the waterfall however

Tasik Lama park is a fun place to hike and explore. It is fun to walk to,the waterfall. However, there are also jogging/hiking paths through the park, play equipment for children, and a jungle path marked with rope. After visiting the waterfall, I hiked up the road to an observation tower on the hill above the falls. There was a... More

Brunei Darussalam never ceases to surprise - and that goes for the capital city as well. A mere 15 minute walk from the Radisson Hotel right in the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan, is this large patch of tropical jungle called Taman Peranginan Tasek Lama. Never in all our travels have we seen a pristine forest at a city centre!... More

The place requires you to be in best of health as many of the paths around the place are quite steep and many not be that easy. When I visited the weather was really hot so we did a quick stroll and got some great shots of the water falls (which is kind of the only attraction around the place)... More

The park has a decent trekking trail and looks pretty clean and safe. Only reached halfway as we were contented upon seeing the water falls. It's probably because it's still summer season and the falls didn't have much water flowing. The water was murky because of some soil and not because of some junk. In any case, still worth going... We were told this was a 10 minute walk from our hotel-not so. We got a taxi that took 10 minutes and asked the driver to wait for us. We walked inside the park for over three quarters of an hour and the heat was unreal so we decided to head back. It was 3pm so I would suggest you... More

Good place to exercise..you have a choice of casual.walking or rigorous hiking into the tropical.rain forest. The park is set next to a water dam which is one of the oldest in brunei (I would say the first)
