It's surrounded by water and that means there are some nice photos to take. We visited at dusk and the light was excellent.

Indeed one of those beautiful mosque i have visited with my friends. in Bandar Seri Begawan. The fact that the domes are covered in real gold, it adds to the uniqueness of the mosque itself apart from its own history.

This Mosque has 28 turrets made of 24 carat gold it was built by the current Sultans father and represents the 28th dynasty. The point at the top is pure gold. The Mosques are only open to non muslims at certain hours and days so it is good to check before visiting. The Mosque is within walking distance of the river... More

It was closed a lot through the day and it was not as spectacular as the ones in Abu Dhabi or Dubai so if you are expecting that, I wouldn't bother visiting the inside. It is beautiful from the outside though.

Straight in the city centre of the capital, you cannot miss it! Difficult to find the right time to visit for the non Muslim visitors, but try.

The area that non-Muslim guests can visit inside is quite limited, but you still get a great view of a beautiful Mosque. The friendly staff at the door enjoy a chat with guests and are interested in where you're from. We witnessed a couple walk past the staff, ignoring the dress code, and the fact that the Mosque was closed... More

An interesting but average mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan. An interesting feature not seen in other mosques is the barge. This is a non-functional feature giving the impression that the mosque is built on water. The architecture is interesting and apparently by a British company (Need to verify that!) The outside of the mosque is free to wander around and... More

Fantastic example of a Mosque, really stunning. The staff are very friendly and offer help with what tourists can and cannot do. They have proper clothes and headwear for women if you are not wearing the correct clothes, they have all sizes and they even take a picture for you with the clothes on! Very friendly.

Unfortunately we were not able to walk inside as we were in Brunei on Thursday and Friday. We enjoyed architecture during day and night.
