These marvellous walls give the Old City a big part of its charm. They are preserved very well and also the new constructions are made in order to avoid too much contrast with the colors and style of the walls.

Worth a visit in an otherwise soul-less city. Don't come to Baku unless you want to buy an oil well.

I felt as though we had walked back in time as I approached the city walls. It was a wonderful afternoon walk along the edge of the wall, up and down the cobblestones, in and out of shops and a Georgian restaurant...that I will remember!

The city walls are under recontraction but it is still a nice part of the city and gives tourists a good impression that the people there care for their past.

Wandering in the centre of the city of Baku is very enjoyable! People are friendly and even the salespeople at the market are modest and not pushy. Walls are still under renovation... some terraces and nice façades in and outside are the best places to be in the city.

The city walls are a great sight seen. Surrounded of history on the inside and outside are always great for pictures and area for a great walk during the day, you can't appreciate all details during night so go while there is sun light.

This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so don't miss the opportunity to see something really special. The walls can be seen from various points, and a walking tour will let you see the best of the Old City.
