Tu Duc was the fourth of Vietnam's 13 emperors and is the last one of independent Vietnam, as he signed over the country to France in a treaty, making them a French colony. The Tu Duc Tomb is a really nice site and I understand the last king or emperor of Vietnam wanted to be buried there. It does not fell like Vietnam and it is so quiet ! We had a terrible weather there (cold and humid, but no rain), which gives the site a particular mood. I am sure early morning... more
