What a treat. A chance to experirnce the Saigon Opera House in action shouldn't be missed. The AOShow is great and provides a unique introduction to Vietnamese culture. A lovely cup of tea and snack is provided on arrivsl. There is time to take some pics of the interior of he building too. The show is cirque with a Vietnamese... More

Went for a date night with the hubby. From the outside, it looks big but inside, the theatre itself is small which is the norm when it was constructed. Just amazed that it has been preserved and continues to be functional till today.

My wife, some friends and I went for the Nutcracker Ballet. For the not so low price of 400,000 per person we actually got decent seats (middle of 1st balcony, last row). Being wedged into the corner (did not seem like there was a wall in seating chart) was a bit uncomfortable. The seats are not set up well enough... More

We've just returned from HCMC - our first trip to South Vietnam and we were suitable impressed. We spent a fantastic evening at the Saigon Opera House. Not only is the theatre (built by the French in the late 1800's) gorgeous, smallish and intimate, - the performance of AO was superb. In an hour it showed exactly what HCMC is;... More

Beautiful restored building. well worth fighting your way across the road for a look see. Or take it all in from the continental shelf.

This building itself is amazing architecturally. And i watched The AO show in my last nite in HCMC on 15 Nov. The show was creative but not so wow in terms of the acrobatic skills.. Overall... it was a nite to remember.. GEORGINA MIEKE JAKARTA

There are not that many genuine tourist attractions in Saigon, The Opera House is one of them, and does not disappoint. It is easy to get to, and the general area is clean and upmarket. There's a large square in front which keeps the traffic away, at the rear there's a decent coffee shop and the Hyatt Hotel across the... More

As a last minute decision to go see a show at the Opera House. It was an awesome show. It's like Vietnam's answer to Cirque. Using acrobatic skills and bamboo products it tells the story of Vietnam evolution. Both of were truly impressed and very glad that we went for the show. Highly recommended to anyone who may be considering... More

We made a good choice when we booked to see the AO show at the Opera House. The show combined acrobatics with contemporary dance but I would say that this Vietnamese company has a unique take on this. It gave us a glimpse into the ancient cultural heritage of the country with its imaginative sets and exciting choreography which also... More

Best place so far. Along the Dong Khoi St. with a big open space for viewing the whole building and well lighted at night. A real attraction. Remnant of the French colonial times. Everyone is welcome to the interior up to the lobby only during daytime. Still the grandiose design is welcoming.
