Nice old building

French period and therefore nice french architecture for this building. I guess the performance should be great for the sound. Building is very interesting.

The view of the building from the outside illustrates the influence of the French culture in Saigon. Thankfully, the opera house survived the war. We were not lucky to be able to get inside for a performance because we were in the city for such a short time.

So many of these events for tourists are second rate but the show 'My village' was a spectacular visual and acrobatic show that told the story of life in rural vietnam without a single word being spoken. Highly recommended

We partecipate at a performance which was between dance and acrobatic, with a strong focus on bamboo. It was a nice story between communist dances and more organic generation. I thought that the combination was very elegant and nice.

If you need cash..this place is the BEST! The money machines are in old phone booths. They have held much of the architecture....and you can get advice here, mail a post card. Locals and tourists use it!

This is well preserved and a fine representation of French architecture. Try to see a performance for the sound is quite amazing.

I had the opportunity to go and see a show at the Opera House. The building inside was smaller then i thought. I was seated near the front and the seat was comfortable. Inside of the building was well preserved and in good condition. The seats are not tiered so maybe if you are at the back you might not... More

Duration: 2hrs. The Good : I attended the performance (sadly forgot the name) but it involved acrobatics using local items like large baskets, bamboo sticks etc Very funny and entertaining. Great customer service, you get greeted with a drink. Comfortable seats and temperature. The Bad : some seating areas have blocked views of the performances at the edges of the... More

One for the shutter bugs like myself. Situated in the heart of district 1 it stands out and is a short walk from some great shopping and Cafe's.
