A wonderful building with charm and style in the heart of a frenetic city. This precinct in the French quarter is the classier end of town.

The Saigon Opera House is one of the most photographed buildings in HCMC. Certainly an iconic image for every tourists album. Outside during the day you can capture some awesome pics. At night though be sure to pre book some tickets to the cultural show AO which runs about 2 or 3 times a week. Its truly an inspiring show... More

we saw the A O show in this theatre and loved every minute of it. the seats are surprisingly comfortable and the view of the stage is great. the seats are staggered so everyone can see and children are able to get an extra cushion to sit on if needed. there are toilet facilities, although they are not the best,... Try at least to see a show - opera, some performance or the AO show, in this grand dame. It's about 116 years old.

The Old Saigon Opera House has been standing though it all. At one time used as a Parliamentary House crowds can be seen gathering there to socialize nightly.

I went to see the show last night and I really enjoyed it - probably because I didn't go with any expectations even though I had read some reviews. The show is vibrant and is based on Vietnamese rural life. I think it's a great option for a Saturday night for a solo traveller and the second best thing to... More

Saw the show here and it was excellent, loved it. Just the right length. The theme was consistent and I thought the choreography clever and well executed. The building is very nice inside. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was pouring rain and they greeted us with umbrellas at the taxi.
