Truly beautiful with original lead light windows. Very busy area with tourists everywhere but worth a quick trip as it is opposite the post office.

Before going here I had great expectations. I am not a religious person but I was really looking forward to seeing this marvel due to other peoples praises. Thankfully it was next to the Post Office which made the whole trip a bit more worthwhile. Although the Cathedral is nice, it doesn't really stand out as spectacular. The area surrounding... More

It is very impressive from the outside but inside is a bit off and dark. Lit some candles and said a little prayer. Short walking distance to the post office.

It shares the same name as its Paris counterpart and is of great significance to vietnamese catholics. From the outside it is quite attractive, though much smaller than its Paris big sister. Inside it is not as dark as the parisian version, but also not as impressive. It amkes a good landmark

If your in the area, its right across from the do not miss Post Office, stop in and visit. I wouldn't make a special trip unless you have the time. Church is very interesting, but unless you are there for prayer you are restricted to the back of the Church, at least we were.

Located in the city, it is a nice place to take photos. There is also nearby parks and the central post office, so you can bundle your tour into a day over there. Good to walk around after lunch.

The Notre Dame Cathedral is a really good example of architecture. It had a wonderful atmosphere, which was helpful to meditate and reflect and to especially get away from the hectic Vietnamese life and traffic outside.

If you're expecting Paris and a glorious rosette window, you will be sorely disappointed though the colonial French did create a something resembling the Gothic original. Certainly worth a photo stop on a walking tour of the colonial area--post office, opera house, but not an essential stop. If you'd like to go inside, beyond the posted hours, be aware that the... If you go to the Post Office this is right next door, we were only allowed to stand at the back as there was a service.
