Neon Mary

A quirky take on the original, there are some beautiful stained glass windows. Look out for the neon Mary and chech on opening times before you get there.

I'm a big fan of old buildings and churches. I feel like travelling back in time. My visit here was one of them. It is situated across the Central Post Office thus it really brought the feeling of being back in time. The bonus was I was able to able to get in.

As many travellers would know - there are so many churches that look good but similar... this is another one of them. If you're around at visiting time - it was 3pm-4pm when we were there - then pop in for a look. You can't go up the aisles and there are a couple of beggars outside, but nothing overwhelming.

most of Sunday i will attend 9,30am English mass in 'Duc Ba' Church as what i called it every time. I was touched by pitch perfect of the choir group singing during the mass. they make me recalled what God did to me when i was sad during my life. Anyhow, Duc Ba church is a great church design for... More

Viewed the cathedral as part of a tour of the city. It is close to the central post office. You can easily take in both in a short amount of time.

This is a beautiful cathedral. English mass is at 9:30am on Sundays. Heard mass here and it was solemn despite jam-packed attendees, some tourists taking pictures while mass was on-going, and few children walking about (although they were quiet as parents/guardians were watching them). Next to the Post Office and to the left after the park (when facing cathedral) is... More

Looks great from the outside. Unfortunately, didn't have time to go in. Quite a lot of handicapped people outside though.

The Notre Dame Cathedral in HCMC is very nice inside and out. It is a 3 minutes walk away from the hotel we stayed at, Intercontinental Asiana Saigon, and over the road from the Central Post Office. Inside was very pleasant with amazing architecture and nice feel about it. outside a amazing with many locals relaxing and enjoying the place.... More

Beautiful from the outside with a lovely statue of Virgin Mary but inside did not meet expectations. Very disappointing but well worth a visit. Located next to the Post Office.

Yes it is French but it is also a large part of the Vietnamese history. It would be a real shame if it is to be demolished by the current government as some are suggesting. See it before it is gone.
