The location of the old presidential palace is very good and reachable indeed. However it is pure propaganda relating to the American War.

See the American war of aggression through the eyes of the people who lived it. The opulent surroundings of those (including the Americans) who ordered others to go and be killed is a frightening dichotomy. Well worth it - we should all learn that those who give the orders in war rarely die. In it were otherwise there would be...

Fun. Very historical at the same time. Go only if you have a guide to explain about the history of the place, otherwise it's just like going to a palace to see where the king used to stay, but in this case, the American-allied General who eventually lost. Do not miss out touring the basement!!
very opulent easy to find and to wander round grounds quite extensive old tanks and a plane gates look like the gates of the killing fieldsfilm
i dont really like the place.. remind me of my palace in old area. not much to see also. if you dont have much time, better skip the place and see other good destination.
Well worth visiting be aware it closes from 12:00 to 13:00 for lunch the palace and the set out is a reminder how the forces did destroy what they conquered unlike some other invaders have done in other wars of recent times. The palace bison beautiful grounds and all exhibits makes one wonder of the past regime who where forced out...

A must see monument in Ho Chi Minh, this beautifully preserved example of 1960s modernism provides a fascinating glimpse into a by-gone world. Walking around you could be forgiven for thinking you had stepped onto the set of a James Bond movie. You have to join one of the regular guided tours which are informative and professional, if a little...

It was good to look around what used to be the Presedential Palace. There is a free guided tour but you feel like the guide is reading from a script. The building itself is not stunning but a rather concrete bit of 1950s or 1960s architecture. The propaganda write ups that describe the various photos are amusing.
Tangible history that any person genX and prior can relate to. Amazing how the VC left it as it was and didn't destroy it out of spite.
Not hugely interesting but beautiful grounds and make sure you don't miss the basement and ground floors.these are where the real historical interest lies as housed the bunker tunnel ( you cannot see this but our guide old us of it) and the military engine rooms. Other rooms are just conference, dining and bedrooms nd nothing special .
